Engine Rev goes too high on Starting the engine

Arul, It sounds like you installed a new carburetor and the problem remains. You may have a vacuum leak between the carb and the engine allowing in too much air and causing a lean fuel/air condition leading to high revs. Check your vacuum lines for cracks, check your carb holder for cracks or gaps, listen closely for an air leak. Replace any cracked lines or carb holder with new, or a temporary fix may be done by sealing the carb holder with a silicone adhesive to stop the leak.

Not Accelerating beyond 40-50 kmph

NOT clutch issue - if it was the clutch the rpms would rev out but bike would go no faster. Sounds like carburetor may be partially plugged up, main jet. Or air filter needs replacing.

My bike is bajaj wind

Does the gearbox have the proper oil level? This sounds like a piston seizure. Another possibility, must less costly to fix, is possible water in the float bowl on the bottom of the carburetor. There should be a drain -plug on the bowl. Drain the gas from the bowl to remove the water. The water is from condensation in the gas tank. Please rate my answer. tombones49_165.gif

Fuel valve needle

Your carburette float level heeds to be readjusted downwards to stop this.. The fuel bowl is normally only half full which is actually the full level. I would also advise a new float needle and to check the float has no fuel inside. shake it near your ear to check. If you hear sloshing inside then replace the float as well.. I also advise you take it to someone that knows how to adjust it properly if you are not sure...

Bajaj wind 125 : rpm increases when pressing clutch while lowering the gear & engine not remainig at idle tuning

For me that is normal they call that engine brake. If you ever drove a manual transmission car from high gear to low gear it will do the same thing, but if you are driving a Automatic car it will not do that because the clutch is automatic you will not hear that loud noise.

I need to change out bad pushrod rings on my 89

If you have solid pushrods then, all the rocker gear will have to be removed in order to do it. If you have adjustable pushrods then replacing the seal(s) is relatively straightforward and easy. Something you might try before doing that is to rotate the tubes at the leaking o-ring in opposite directions about 3/4" back and forth a couple of times. You may re-seat the o-ring. I've had success rotating the tube at the head. In some cases you can buy new o'rings pull the tube up and then cut the new o'ring and superglue them back together, If you do cut o-rings as a try-it repair, cut them at a broad ANGLE, not straight across the width of the o-ring. BUT

If it was me and all you have leaking is the tubes. I would just cut the old rods and install adjustable ones. They last forever and they can save a lot of hassle! Not to mention gasket costs, they pay for themselves eventually. Crain and several other companies make these adjustable pushrod tubes and adjustable push rods. That way it would only be a 30 min. job unless you just want to open her up to see what it looks like. Their design permits a simple, trouble free installation that does not require removal of the gas tank or rocker assemblies. The OEM pushrods may be cut to permit removal without rocker disassembly of the engine. These adjustable pushrods can then be installed without removing the rocker box cover

For access to adjuster unit, similar aftermarket pushrod covers must be used

Retainer clips and upper pushrod covers have been designed to provide a more stable, rigid cover assembly. You push the spring-loaded clip down, this frees the metal strip that holds the upper and lower pushrods in place, then pull the lower tube up from the tappet block, and upper tube down out of the rocker cover housing. This way you can see which o-rings are there.

DON'T use silicon. Not there. It just takes one little glob to block an oil way and your day is ruined. If the makeshift cut and glue does not work, it's a pretty good time to install adjustable pushrods, Kit includes required gaskets, o-rings, and replacement pushrod covers and retainer clips

My wind bike seems to be having more black colored

I am not familiar with your Baja Wind 125 motorcycle, however, normally, black smoke is associated with too much unburned fuel in the exhaust - too rich a mixture. Is your choke fully open when this is happening? Are yo usure? Remove and examine your spark plug(s). I expect they will be sooty sooty black. Is your air filter clean, the air path completely unobstructed? Have you messed with the fuel adjustment? (I am not familiar with the term 'mop') Is your bike equipped with a Cat Converter? If so (not likely ...) it may have to be cleaned or replaced.

Some times, black smoke or sootie plugs results from using too low a gear, not running the engine fast enough for the riding conditions. Usually, the engine will buck if you are expecting too much from it by being in too high a gear. This is a very rare condition, having too low RPM for conditions.

FYI, Black smoke = too much fuel, Gray or Blue smoke = burning oil (worn rings?), White smoke (in water cooled engines) = water in the oil, blown head gasket or other trouble.

If your bike was recently serviced, I suggest you return to the mechanic and have them take another look at your motorcycle. If not, this may not be a bad idea anyway. You do want your motorcycle to perform optimally, right? Best ride and economical operation = most fun.

Some other things you can try, get a hotter plug. Replace the air filter.

I hope this helps you with your Black Smoke issue.

Hi,

Shashi, Check from the silensor. Put a finger in it. If there is black soot on the finger then you need a new set of piston rings. As you already have oil on the spark plug, it means new rings and or piston too.
