Starter sprag clucth doesn't always
The rollers can be changed. Low battery will cause this issue and if it happens too often then the rollers wear down and the sprag needs changing. Try a charger like the optimate to keep the battery topped up. The charging system is problematic on them and needs modifications to work corre
Faulty wiring
sounds like a short in light circuit, check wires to see if any are touching
Hi my rsv haga will over run in 5th and 6th gear
Sounds like you may have a clutch problem. Not positive, but from what you are saying. Your clutch is not catching it sounds like it is slipping. If you ease in in gear then the clutch is holding, but if you punch it, it sounds like the clutch is slipping.
It explains you symptoms and is not really expensive to fix. I 'll bet can't pop a wheely right now, can you....actuall I wouldn't try, you mightbreak something more....
RSV mille 190 section rear tyre hitting chain
first is the tire straight? you can slide the right side back a hair by loosing off the bolt and pulling it back to make it not rubb but it might not track right so that why i asked if it is strate.
Upper fairing R model pieces..
rofl sorry i didnt see this thread the 01-03 has those for sure, but im not positive on the 98-00, my best bet would be yes, but they are very expensive, i think like 250-300 bucks,
anything will fit with a little modification.. so i would say try it.. what the hell!

No fuel pump
but can't find the thread
I washed my 2000.5 Miller R fired it up let it run for a few minutes and put it away. No I am unable to start it.
I hear a relay click when I turn the key on but no fuel pump whine... they low fuel lite popped on for a second when I cranked it.
Does the kill switch disable the fuel pump but not the starter circuit ?
Thanks in advance for a link to a applicable thread.
No, it's not the kill switch, that would disable all of it. Check all the relays and connectors are clean and seated properly, check all fuses. There maybe just a bad connection in the fuel pump harness. On the right side under the seat panel there is a connector for the fuel pump leads, pull apart and feed power to the pump direct by connecting power direct from battery via a couple of wires, just insert into connector to make contact, make sure you have good contact, the pump harness wire colours are green/black = positive, blue wire is neutral, if the pump is ok you will hear it fire up and your problem is elsewhere, if not then there is a problem with either pump or the harness to it.
There has been a few where the wires connected to pump have been dry soldered and making bad or intermittent connection. Check the earth connection is also clean and secure, you can see that more clearly by lifting the tank.

57mm TB switch
If you can get the Edwards TB that is the easiest way to go. Here are some threads on adapting the 04 units.

Race Fairing and Air Temp Sensor Relocation
a concern about the front fairing stay mounting points and possibly trimming the area by the exhaust (Akra pipe seems fatter than other). The product itself is top quality but I have a question regarding the location of the air temp sensor.
I was going to drill hole either near the front or the back of the supplied air tubes:
As long as it's inside the tube it's fine. I drilled mine about 3 from the front. It doesn't know up from down

Instructions
-
-
1
Park your RSV 1000R on a well-ventilated, level area, using its kickstand.
-
2
Start the engine and let it idle in place until the
temperature gauge built into the instrument cluster indicates a minimum
internal temperature of 180 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the motorcycle's
ideal operating temperature.
-
3
Take note of the engine idle speed, using the tachometer
needle, while the engine is running. Ideally, the engine should idle
steadily at 1,250 rpm.
-
4
Adjust the engine idle speed to 1,250 rpm, using the idle
adjuster screw hidden between the lower right edge of the fuel tank and
the upper edge of the right middle fairing panel. Turn the idle adjuster
screw clockwise to increase the engine idle speed, or counterclockwise
to decrease the engine idle speed, using a small flat screwdriver if
your RSV 1000R's frame (VIN number) precedes ZD4MEE009YS000292. A
plastic knob allows the engine idle speed to adjusted by hand on RSV
1000R models with a frame (VIN) numbers starting from ZD4MEE009YS000293.
-
5
Rev the engine two to three times and observe the
tachometer. The engine should return to a 1,250 rpm idle. Adjust the
engine idle speed as needed, using the method described, then rev the
engine again. Problems may exist within the throttle control,
fuel-injection system or engine, if the engine idle speed will not hold
steady at 1,250 rpm. Contact your local Aprilia service facility for
assistance.
-
6
Stop the engine, once you have obtained a steady 1,250 rpm idle speed.

Will not start Aprilia Mojito Custom
OK< can you provide more details? Does it turn over? Does it fire at all? Do you know if you have a spark? Do you know if fuel is getting through? Has it run properly recently?
To run, a motor needs fuel, air and spark
Inspect all fuel lines and wires. Pull the sparkplug and see if it is burnt/wet/corroded
