I wished I could help but my expertise is in the older model bikes without the ECM on them. I don't think the lower octane fuel is the problem as it is still within the recommended octane range. I would hazard to make a guess that for some reason, the fuel air mixture is not correct. However, usually when an engine is running lean, it will spit back or cough through the carb. No backfiring through the exhaust. If it does backfire through the exhaust, you may have an ignition problem. Since your bike is a 2011 and obviously still under warranty, I'd take it back to the dealer and explain the problem to them. If you do not wish to take it to the dealer, or any other dealer in the area, try to find a performance oriented shop in your area that is equipped with a dynometer and an exhaust gas analyzer. Have them run the bike up while monitoring the exhaust gas. This wil tell them what the fuel-air mixture is at any given RPM. They can then tell you exactly what you need to do.

Your turn signals are are control by you alarm control unit. your wiring loom is compatable with the uk alarm model. it will need to be reprogrammed to the ecu, that will remove the conbined turnsignal/brake. or cheaper option would be to cut feed wire going to turn signal switch and and a separate relay and change rear signal to uk single filament lights. front turn signals can be left as they are with run/turn as that is fine for the uk.
How do you remove the seat?
Remove the screw at the rear of the seat. Pickup on the rear of the seat and hammerfist the center of the seat with your other hand, sort of forcing it both down and forward toward the tank. There is a post that holds the seat in place that fits into a church key style slot in the seat. You just have to force the seat forward enough slide it out.

Turn the engine off and try to get it into neutral. If you can, then it means your clutch needs adjusting. It's dragging. To adjust the clutch, find the cable adjust sleeve in the middle of the cable. Loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster sleeve inwards to get as much slack in the cable as possible.
Then, remove the derby cover from the primary cover. There is a spring and a lock nut under the derby cover. Take these out and you'll see an adjuster screw in the hole. Turn the screw counterclockwise until it stops. Then, turn the clutch 1/4 turn clockwise. Reinstall the lock nut, spring, and the derby cover.
Go back to the cable adjuster and adjust the sleeve back out until you have 1/8 inch free travel at the lever.
