Ushud rev engine when downshiftn. Ithink ur carb needs ajustn on throttl and at idle. Clutch mite need it too. Buy a clymer shopbook like the pros use

First try going back to basics. It might take a few attempts to pull the fuel through to the injectors but if it still won't start there must be another issue that needs looking at. Crank in short bursts to avoid flatting the battery too quickly. When was it last serviced? Fresh plugs and filters can make a bigger difference than you think. Cranking and not trying to start is often a spark issue. Cranking, trying but stalling out is commonly a fuel supply issue.

A batt must read 12.6v for acoil ign...no less. Testit w a multimeter. Twelve volts is actually disharged. Getta new batt if it doesnt hold charge

If you don't have the manufacturer's specs or an operators handbook then your next best solution is to check the oil manufacturer's recommendations. Different oils for the 2 strokes can have a wide range of mixture ratios. If you follow their recommendations for the Yamaha 2 stroke the warranty and guaranty for will be applicable for the ratio they recommend.

Not a simple fix but the most likely is a leaky head gasket. After that it gets more expensive? Might try pulling the plugs and checking compression!

Try going back to basics. An engine needs fuel, air and spark/compression. If you have good compression, a good spark and it's supplying fuel the issue is possibly one of the following. Air supply to the cylinders or something is set up wrong. Have you checked the air filter is clean? You will be surprised at how much difference a dirty one can make. Recheck the setup on the carbs. Too much fuel can cause issues just like not enough fuel can. If the carbs aren't balanced to work together they can cause problems and if a needle or jet is slightly out it can be a factor in the issue as well. The intake boots will depend on exactly how bad they are cracked and if they are the ones between the carbs and the cylinder head. If they are badly cracked they could be letting extra air in thinning the fuel/air mixture making it run 'lean'. Yes, the battery could be a factor in this. Some engines, especially the higher revving versions, sometimes need to spin over a certain RPM for them to catch and start. Is the Boost pack your using designed for motorcycles? A booster for a car or a truck can be too powerful for motorcycles as they are designed to turn over bigger, heavier engines. Check through these and comment below and i'll see if I can help more.

Strip the clutch down, clean it thouroughly and rebuild it. Set the pressure clearances etc.

Either switch on the handle bars or possible stator has went bad.

Question edited for clarity. I have ridden an XT500 on Green Lanes in the UK. Great old thumper! You will probably find there is a small overflow hose from the float bowl of the carburetor. Rev Counter?? Do you mean tachometer? Do the engine RPM's fluctuate when returning to idle? If so, its probably time for a valve adjustment... Intake valves that are TOO TIGHT will cause the rpm's not to settle back to idle quickly.
