Hi,it sounds from what you are saying that you have got a inturnal falt with the gearbox,im affried the only way to make a propper diagnoses is to take it apart and look at the gear sincros there has to be worn bearings,or teeth on the gears,or the sellector,or something has just manidged to come loose. If the bike sounds fine on idle and will rev freely then I would suspect the gearbox and particularly the power output shaft/drive shaft

its not the clutch or chain its the gearbox by the sounds of it I would say the drive dogs on the gears in the box are worn away especially if it only does it in certain gears,what bike are we talking about here /???????????

yes, the clutch can affect dramaticaly the stength and speed of a bike

Check the bulbs are good and correct type. If they do not come on at all, check the flasher unit. Check battery and charging system are working. Check fuses.
