have you removed the baffle and checked its all secure ?

All indications are that the Battery is gone. Make sure that you are getting a reliable test...take battery to an auto store that gives free battery checks. Once you verify that the battery is actually good ( which I very much doubt) you can check these other things: 1. that the GROUND wire at the battery has a good contact with the frame. 2. that the alternator is functioning...test at auto store is free. 3. that all electrical connection to the starter are good. If you follow these instructions in order, you WILL find the issue. I've been there many times... Good Luck Jerry

Hi check battery next check fuses ,next ,check for a white powder on fuse connections and wires , replace fuses if need be clean every thing , sound like battery is low maybe u left the lights on or battery acid is gone low to hold a charge you could try butting jump lead on it hope this helped

Remove the seat to get access to the top of the batery. I suggest you consider a trickle charger for your motorycle, with permanently attached leads leading from under the side cover.

You probably need to adjust your valve lash. This is part of the routine service on a Virago.
.004" intake and .006" exhaust is the specs on a COLD engine.

This is a highly ill - eagle act to do. In the old days we would put an electric drill on the drive cable, but now they make them tamper proof so they only go one way. The bezels are crimped on so you can't get inside them. I expect modern one may be electronic. How will your insurance company know what mileage you have done? I have never known an insurance cancel or fine due to mileage. You should have just disconnected it when you got close to the limit. Buy a used one and use them for 6 months in turns.
