more likely a fuel hose problem.. could be a clogged filter, a pinched hose even a dirty carburetor .. it's not a tight clog it just slows the fuel enough to starve the engine then over time it drips enough fuel into the carb to allow start and run for a short while before clogging again

It sounds as though the mixture is way too rich. Is the choke stuck on or malfunctioning? With is dry spark plug but fuel in the carburetor, try turning the fuel valve and choke off and then with ignition on and holding the throttle at least 1/2 open, kick the engine over several times. If it starts under these conditions then perhaps the float(s) in the float bowel have leaked and are full of gasoline causing the fuel to flow continuously into the throat of the carb then into the engine. It probably is some sort of carb mixture setting, choke or needle valve/float problem.

CHECK THE CABLES THAT GOES TO THE SPARK PLUGS. IT MIGHT BE LOOSE OR BROKEN.

Time to disassemble the engine again,,, you can see what is causing the problem ... proceed from there...

still think you have a plugged carb passage somewhere maybe an idle air passage, you used carb cleaner and compressed air to blow this carb's jets out?

Possible warped/cracked head or cylinder wall.

Hi Blu, I haven't had a motor bike for a while but is there NOW gearbox oil as well as engine oil???.... Use to be the same mate, You should ask next time you're in the local motorcycle store..... CHEERS..

if you turn the key on and the gauge goes to overheat immediately ( hasn't been running and is cold) that indicates a fault in the wiring to the temperature sender unit ( probably fell of the unit and is touching on the engine or head or frame ) it may have a coolant temperature sensor ( tells the fan when to turn on if stationary) and that may be faulty

Probably a carb issue. It sounds as though the idle jet is clear but the main jet is blocked. So your bike starts and idles, but as soon as you ask for more fuel, not enough gets through the main jet and the bike bogs down. Buy a manual and a can of carb cleaner, take the carb off, remove the bowl, remove the jets and leave them soaking in carb cleaner overnight. You might need to use some fine wire to poke through the jets if they are very blocked..

Hi the easiest thing to check is the spedo drive at front wheel lift front wheel off the ground and spin wheel if you look in where the cable goes you should see it turning. If not the drive needs repair or replacing. Regards Jim...

I would check a few things. First off make sure the throttle cable is adjusted correctly. Second, try opening the throttle half way and letting go you should hear the inside parts of the carb click as they seat. Third, find the idle adjuster screw turn this anti clockwise and see if the idle speed drops down. Fourth check the choke mechanism is working properly choke/cold start forces a rich mixture to the engine and increases the idle revs. it is worth checking the pilot air screw is adjusted correctly. That could be one of many things, could be a tight valve clearance,fuelling problem ,ignition failure.all of these can fail when the bike has just run for a bit,the primary ignition and secondary ignition coil can fail from the heat it generates and the valves tighten as they warm.up through thermal growth.and the fuel goes down sometimes faster than it can 've delivered.these hikes have a pneumatic fuel pump and the vacuum pipe that operates it falls off the inlet manifold which stops it pumping.

If it's dripping fuel fix whatever is making it dripped petcock or the fuel line. The reason it's dripping more one is running is because it's sucking the fuel from the tank to the motor fixed the leak. If you too lazy to do that and wanted temporary fix. Get a bar soap, and just smear it around wherever it's leak in and the soap. The leak. It's an old trick
