2008 Yamaha Zuma Idle Speed

TRY THIS;WHILE RUNNING SPRAY WD40 ALL OVER ENGINE..MOVE SLOWLY WHILE SPRAYING..NOW IF ENGINE REVS UP MAJIOR VACUMM LEAK....FIX AND BE HAPPY..GOOD LUCK..INDIAN HEAD SHALAC IS THE BEST SEALANT FOR ALL GASKETS AND VERY CHEAP COMPARED TO OTHERS THAT FAIL AFTER GETTING HOT A COUPLE OF TIMES..BUT I WOULD SAY YOU HAVE SOME KIND OF LEAK..THE ENGINE WILL BE SUCKING ALOT OF AIR THRU THIS AREA.PLUS IF IT LOOKS WET AROUND GASKET OR OIL LEAKS FAILING GASKETS..POTENTAIL VACUMM AREA..HOW DID IT RUN AFTER REBUILT..COULD BE SHOTTY WORK..JUST EXPLORING ALL AVENUES..COULD NEED HEAD RETORQUE IF THEY DIDNT USE LOCK TITE..BLUE NEVER THE RED..RED IS PERMANTE NEVER COMMING APART..HOPE THIS HELPS..BUT IF THE WORK YOU HAD DONE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY THAN GIVE IT BACK TO GET FIXED..

My zuma won't idle properly it will only idle for about 30 secs then die, also it doesn't accelerate properly, what's wrong?

Sounds like a fuel problem. Check the fuel filter. Check the fuel condition. Carb could need cleaning.

My zuma will run but when I stop it wont idle it shuts itself off also sometimes when I have the accelator all the way down it takes a bit before it accelerates why is it not workn properly?

sounds like a fuel problem. Try running a tank of premium gasoline this should solve your problem. You see short trips on any motor all the time is hard on them. They like to get out and stretch there legs..another words take it out for some longer trips and start using a better grade of gasoline. If this don't work clean your plug and your fuel system. Good luck..ps.Mobil and Shell are both very good fuels..all grades..

Batters cable get real hot when i try to crank the scooter

check your engine grounds from battery to fram and fram to engine, also see if starter is tight. other than that you will need to turn it by hand to see if engine is too tight. check oil level.
