Depending on your skills and tool kit it can be an easy job. If your skills are elsewhere, you can do more damage than good. Sheared bolts are best left to people with experience in that area. While most You-Tube videos on this subject make it look simple, I have seen a ten minute job turn into a days work. Everything is grand until that drill bit goes off center and at the wrong angle. Also, some bolts are grade 8.8 and need cobalt drills to drill successfully. Break an extractor in one and that is when the fun starts as these are usually made of hardened tool steel and will require a carbide burr or spark eroder to remove. If in doubt, leave it to a professional.

Never had a transmission output shaft (the bearing that supports the belt pulley shaft) fail. Are you sure this bearing is gone? The bearing that usually fails is the clutch mainshaft bearing that is mounted on the inner primary casing and causes a noise that can be stopped by pulling in the clutch and putting it in gear. If this is the case, then the bearing is gone. It is replaced by removing all component from left side engine. No need to go near the transmission.

Is it condensation or actual smoke? White smoke is associated with diesel mixed in petrol and with quite strong smells. I suspect that it is condensation as water vapor is a by product of combustion and the motor/exhaust will have to warm up to clear it. Check for water droplets at the end of the exhaust to confirm condensation. Burning oil will cause a blueish smoke to emit from exhausts.

In the repair business, you cannot fix something that is working. If the radio is operating correctly, then you cannot fault find. You may wait until it fails before fault finding. By the way, it is nearly impossible to repair the radio itself but you can get a service replacement through your dealership as long as the radio has not been tampered with.

If you have lost your fobs and have not set a personal pin code, then the TSSM module will have to be replaced along with new fobs. If you have a pin code, then you can dis-arm the alarm manually every time you turn it on. Also, it will enable new fobs to be assigned. You will need this done at a dealership as Digitech is required to assign the fobs. Five minute job. Any decent dealership should assign them for free if you purchase the fobs from them.

All fuses on 2007 FLHX are mounted behind lefthand side cover. Remove the left side pannier, then the Maxi fuse then the fuse cover.

Engine compensating nut (should not be reused) - 155 -165 ft/lbs, right hand thread,. Clutch mainshaft nut, 70 - 80 ft/lbs, left hand thread. Two drops of 262 Loctite.

All fuses on 2007 FLHX are mounted inside the left side cover, behind the Maxi fuse. Remove the left pannier, then the Maxi fuse. Pull fuse block from tabs on mounting bracket. Tabs on bracket fit into slots on each side of fuse block cover. Remove the fuse block cover. Raise lipped side slightly to disengage slots from tabs on fuse block

Check your relays

I do not know what bolt you wish to remove.

Well, it is normaql to go into neutral between first and second so please qdvise more whay your problem is.

I am not understanding waht happpens or if it goes into second or stops and is stuck in neutral

It goes into neutral on its way to 2nd so what are you saying about this

Do you mean while engaging first gear or while starting to move the motorcycle forwrds???
