hi.
please excuse me if i seem to be asking obvious questions.
1. have you drained the tank and put fresh fuel in, preferrably with redex or equivalent fuel additive/cleaner
2. have you checked/cleaned the air filter.
3. have you checked and cleaned the spark plugs.
4. if there is a battery, is it charged and holding charge properly.
if you can answer YES to all of the above, then please tell me the make and model of the bike so i can give more specific advice on servicing a bike after storage.
if the answer for any of the above is NO, then try them first as they are general steps for starting any vehicle after any length of time in storage. if the bike still does not run properly, then i will need the make and model of the bike as there are different procedures for different types of carburetter, and different thing again if there is fuel injection.
please feel free to ask for further advice.

make sure you have undone the nut that secures the valve first.
2008 Yamaha TW200 will not move when clutch released
Here are the possibilities > > Bent clutch push rod, missing push rod ball bearing or push rod, worn out actuator shaft cam, Missing friction disk (5), or pressure plate (4), totally worn out friction disks, clutch plates not installed in the correct sequence, extremely weak clutch springs, stripped teeth on the clutch hub, wrong clutch cable length (inner cable vs outer cable), broken shaft, bent then broken shift fork stems, broken slider gear dogs and a missing shift fork pin.
You didn't say if anyone had worked on the clutch or gearbox so I am throwing in nearly EVERYTHING possible that could create the problem. A little more background and most of the above can be ruled out. Get back to us.
