Greetings from Toronto Pearson International.

Yes pack in a box and write the contents on the outside, especially that is flushed with water and empty. Don't overly seal the box because as it is metal, the scanners have a problem seeing the inside, so they may visually inspect. They will open, check and reseal the box.

Just keep a bottle of two stroke oil in your locker for if you need it. For the fuel, just carry a 2 gallon tank with pourer if you have a fixed tank. I carry 2 x 6 gallon Moeller tanks, and have one on and one full. I rotate them when one goes empty, I use the spare and fill the empty one which goes on next.

And to answer your question, that is no problem. Oil injection is driven from the throttle opening on the carburetor, nothing to do with the fuel source. The wider the throttle, the more oil is pumped.

Hi, Corky you need to locate the fuel flow origin first to isolate the problem area otherwise the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel tank empty.
2. Fuel cap or fuel tank not venting properly.
3. Fuel filter clogged with rust or dirt.
4. Vacuum line to fuel valve clogged, cracked, pinched, bent, broken, or missing*
5. Faulty vacuum line switch/relay
6. Petcock clogged or diaphragm cracked, cut or torn*
6. Fuel line from the fuel valve/petcock to the carburetor clogged, cracked, pinched, bent, broken, or missing.
7. Vacuum lines to the mechanical fuel pump clogged, cracked, pinched, bent, broken or missing.
8. Faulty electric fuel pump and or wiring.
9. Fuel line from the fuel pump to the carburetor clogged, cracked, pinched, bent, broken, or missing.
10. Carburetor inlet fitting clogged.
11. Carburetor float and or needle and seat stuck.
12. Carburetor overflow line clogged, pinched, or bent.
13. Vacuum line from carburetor deacceleration valve not zipped tied.

indicates a low fuel delivery
check for a blocked filter in the tank at the hose end
if you have a tap
check that sufficient fuel flows through it
the filter is passing fuel if it is going empty
check for a blocked filter at the carby bowl at the needle and seat

Hi, Jeremy it should be noted that the "AIR FUEL" mixture screw adjustment "ONLY" manages your idle and has no effect on any other circuit also any intake leaks must be repaired before the A/F adjustment procedure can be performed otherwise you will never obtain a proper idle and you will waste a lot of time chasing the impossible. The A/F mixture screw's purpose is to fine tune the fuel charge entering the combustion chamber. The following applies to both 2 and 4 stroke engines:
1. The mixture screw may be sealed at the factory with a Welch Plug please review the following video for removal.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAXcksgvDkM
2. The mixture screw manages a range of 3 complete 360-degree counterclockwise turns from the bottom/closed position.
3. The mixture screw should have a spring and o-ring for tension and sealing integrity.
4. Turn the mixture screw clockwise until it gently bottoms out, this makes the fuel charge very lean and the engine should not idle if it does then the pilot/idle jet is too big and needs to be replaced with the next size smaller.
5. Turn the mixture screw 1 and 1/2 turns counterclockwise to establish a baseline for starting the engine.
6. To fine-tune the idle circuit, adjust the mixture screw 1/4 turn in or out to achieve maximum idle RPM, wait 15 seconds between each adjustment for the idle to settle.
7. Never go past 3 full turns out this will make the fuel charge rich, foul plugs, and produce black smoke out of the exhaust, if the engine RPM keeps increasing past 3 turns the pilot/idle jet is too small and needs to be replaced with the next size larger.
8. After achieving maximum idle back out the mixture screw another 1/8 of a turn then adjust the throttle cable idle stop screw to 950-1050 RPM.
9. This procedure works great on 99% of all engines, for the 1% that demand a more robust throttle response on aftermarket monster fuel delivery systems additional tweaking outside the box may be necessary.

Could it be a clogged inline fuel filter?
does it have a manual CHOKE? ( make sure the CHOKE is fully opened after warm up).

Tank Motorcycles | Answered on Dec 31, 2017

it is fuel injected isn't it? Gas returns to the tank under pressure from the bypass at the injectors.

Actually a quick search of specs says it has a carb but has an accelerator pump. As long as the fuel is cool, it is fine. If it is boiling, you have a big problem :>)
