Yamaha pw80 wont stay on if choke is turned off
It may be the air filter - try running the engine with it removed to see if it is too dirty to allow enough air into the carburetor The carburetor may have varnish deposits clogging jets / interfering with mechanical operation. Clean the carburetor thoroughly with Gum Out or similar spray type cleaner as per the directions on the container. Spray any carburetor linkage on the outside, too.Replacing or cleaning the spark plug may improve running too. Be sure to check and regap as needed before reinstalling.Hopefully, one of these suggestions will solve the problem. Good luck!
I have a pw 80 start fine then begins to splutter when riding through the gears it dies then starts up again
Try disassembling and cleaning the carburetor. Inspect the in take manifold gasket for leaks, rips, tears, separation, etc. and inspect the reeds for possible damage. Change the spark plug and the spark plug cap. You can purchase an NGK spark plug cap for about $5, if the resister goes bad you can get an intermittent spark. Lastly, replace the fuel in the tank just in case it is old or a bad batch of gas, so it does not cause the problem to resurface.
Engine is running to too
If its blowing oil out the exhaust then that is most likely where your smoke is coming from, not from running rich.
It would also help to know something about the motorcycle as they are not all created equal.
