this means you have to keep checking your oil more often, try this clean a big portion around the oil dripping make sure is clean when you finish you can turn the moped on give it a little gas,right away check for the oil leak once you spot it that would be your starting point. good luck!

I had something similar on a 600cc Honda. The choke cable had been caught under the tank and didn't retract properly. However if the bike has been sitting for a long time start by checking the plugs, then the air filter then the fuel filter if its easily accessible. Ok that's the obvious stuff out of the way fuel starvation can occur in older Kawasaki's where the carbs ice up. But I suspect if your bike hasnt been run much either the plug leads or coils are shot or one or more of the main jets in the carbs is blocked. Hope this helps Tim

the sump plug will be on the bottom of the engine but theseold Honda copy (GY) engines don't use an oil filter they have a wire mesh gauze screen that sits on top of the sump plug bolt so make sure this comes out with the sump plug and is free from any dirt/debris. so drain oil clean the gauze screen then refit and refill your oil. check your oil level if its low or black and burnt this could be your over heating problem but I would also check to make sure the auto choke isn't sticking on. Hey Tammy, I hope you mean carburetor -- Motorcycle carburetors have numerous tiny passages, screws that need to be removed to access some of these tiny passages, jets that need cleaning, etc. This is NOT a job for a shade tree mechanic.. Any good motorcycle dealership SHOULD have a mechanic that can clean and set your carburetor..regardless of make!!

The engine probably stopped because the broken belt wrapped itself around the variator. Highly likely it did no engine damage because that would have been a slow stop, not abrupt. Just replace the belt and start her up.

strange but true I had a similar thing after going into my front area, what I had done is put the correctly wired wrong bulb in the indicator and vice versa into the side headlight, not an easy thing to do considering the two are physically separated but that's me, so then my side light was acting as indicator and my indicator was on constantly, in some way could you have done the same thing?

12 volt battery should be 12-13.2 volts dc normal and 14.5-14.8 vdc at rpms if you only get 8.5 vdc then the charge system ( alternator /stator)is not working or the voltage regulator needs replacing

Yes a new piston and a rebore of the cylinder if that is the problem. You will need to tear it down to inspect what caused the problem.

Use a numbered drill set, measure the jet size using the drill bit set, then select a drill bit two numbered sizes larger and drill out the main jet, that should get you in the ball park. A clicking starter solenoid is usually caused by a discharged or defective battery. I would charge the battery and check the connections. The battery voltage should remain above 10 volts WHILE CRANKING.

Actually it looks interesting, however one reviewer said its not Chinese but Taiwanese. That is the part of China that has separated itself. As far as I am concerned the machine is still of a chinese extraction and seeing as many yamaha parts come from Taiwan. I shall have to dig deeper!

Hello P Smurf, Well... don't feel bad...!! The KIMCO drawing is TRASH (in my humble opinion). Just start the engine! - ignition switch on (powers on CDI module) - short B+ 12V to "S" lead (small terminal on solenoid switch = cranking motor (until it starts (or within reason... do not burn out starter)). Really... you can short BATTERY to the starter solenoid... as long as you have the ignition on... It SHOULD RUN (if it can). You only have the REAL two issues you need to start... Fire & fuel... (everything else is mere confusion). IGNORE IT ALL... until you get the engine started...!! I've been reading schematics, circuit drawings, operational diagrams... All of it for more than my adult life... (mere seconds away from 70) amateur radio, patent holder & highly skilled professional... (into full spectrum optics).... I pulled up the appropriate Kymco "drawing"... and while I'll say it is very pretty (colorful) it is also TOTALLY USELESS...!! (top reference below... avoid it!). Whom-so-ever (clown who posted it) that put it together didn't (still doesn't) know their posterior from 75 cents (six bits). I can't even tell if the generator & starter are one-in-the-same (which would be the first place you want to go... Useable VERSION immediately below...
