Have a 2006 ktm 250
Your clutch basket is the link between the engine and transmission. Your kick starter rotates the clutch basket gear, which turns another gear at the engine crank. Remove either the basket or gear at the crank and see if the engine, and the transmission both turn. Sounds like the engine is stuck for some reason. At least you can cut the issue in half.
2008 KTM 250 SX-F throttle sticks every twist
Yep, lube lube lube.
Take your throttle grip off and lube up your cables.
Check for quick return while it is apart.
Now make sure the grip is not rubbing (common problem), and just move it out till it is free, lube and tighten it back up in this position.
If that doesn't work check for worn out cables?
Good luck.
What type of oil does it require?
the dealer or user manual will have the correct oil to use
simply call the service dealer and ask what oil is used
that way you get the right information
