Hi i have a keeway hurricane50. it lacks power

Remove the exhaust and see if the power is back. If so, the new exhaust has an internal collapse (obstruction) and needs to be returned to the dealer for a replacement.

What batteries are good to go in a keeway cruiser 250? is it ok to use the ones used in yamaha virago 250?

As long as the battery fits in the battery box (measure yours L-W-H) you can use any battery from any make of bike, all are 12 volt. Make sure to secure tha battery as excessive movement/vibration during operation can damage the cells.

I have a 2007 keeway arn 150cc scooter i got alot

first of all, was the bike running, then parked for a signifigant period of time? if so, the first thing your going to want to check is the fuel system. theres a fuel hose running from the fuel tank to the carburetor. remove the fuel line from the carb to check the condition of the fuel. fresh gas has almost a clear look. if it appears to be fine, then proceed by checking the carb to see if there is fuel in the reservoir. at the bottom of the carburetor, there should be a small screw. turn it out counterclockwise to see if gas comes out from one of the overflow fittings on the carb. if it begins to leak, then you most likely have enough fuel in the carb to start it. if it comes out of the hose looking dark, or smelling kind of funny, then youll need to clean the fuel system. to do that, you must drain all of the old fuel, flush the fuel tank a bit with fresh fuel, refill it with fresh fuel, and also clean out the carburetor. if youve never done this before, i would reccommend having a technician do it for you. lost parts or mis-adjusted carburetors can not only cause mechanical damage, but also be a potential safety hazzard due to performance problems. if the fuel looks and smells fresh, then your going to want to check for ignition next. remove the spark plug from the cylinder head, attatch the boot to the top of the plug, make sure the electrode end is touching a good grounding point on the engine, and press the start button. BE CAREFUL on this step. if the plug sint grounded well, it could lead to you getting an electrical shock from the ignition system. its a good idea to hold the spark plug or boot with insulated pliers during this step, just as a precaution. while the engine is turning over, watch the gap on the spark plug end to see if there is a noticable spark. it should be fairly easy to hear as well. if there is spark, then your ignition system is most likely in good condition, so move on to the next step. if there is no spark, try this process over with a new spark plug. if the new one still doesnt spark, there is a problem with one of the components in the electrical system, and that should be further diagnosed by a certified technician.
I hope this helps you out a little bit. these are the first things that I would check. If you know the fuel system is in good condition, and you can see that there is a good ignition source, then you have a mechanical problem that would require more information to attemp to diagnose. if you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to further clarify or explain anything that I mentioned here.

Keeway hurricane 50 .the electricty went off suddenly

Hello and happy thanksgiving from the USA. I would suspect that you have a defective igntion switch, the igntion switch is what powers up all of the electrical system when you turn the key to run, the contacts can get burnt or the connector or both. The switch is under/behind the ignition key cylinder which operates the switch or course.

Hi,,,you can change the front sprocket to a bigger one(more teeth) or change the rear sprocket to one with less teeth.

the front is the cheapest option and changing one tooth on the front is equivelent to 3 on the rear.

If you really suspect the timing is out, use a timing light to check, before adjusting anything.
What else happened when it initially stopped with no spark?

My tail light works fine

Check the light bulb. Chances are that the brake light filament is burned out but the running light filament is still good. If the bulb checks out okay with a multimeter, check the brake light switch and the wire connectors..

Check for a lean air/fuel mixture. That would cause the symptoms you describe when under load. Remember; a cold air/fuel mix is denser than one that is hot so you could be too lean when it gets hot. Good luck and safe riding.
