I have a 2004 Kawasaki

Sounds like a bad starter without knowing what sounds it made when you turned it over etc. if it did absolutely nothing when you tried to start it but started when jumped via solenoid it’s either wiring between the button and starter or wiring between the solenoid and starter itself

My bike has been overheating for a while now but not to badly then when i was out on a ride on a warm day it got very hot and felt a bit wrong i parked up and let it cool down then managed to get it s

The 2 likely causes are #1 your air-fuel mixture is too lean and/or #2 the cooling system is not functioning properly. #1 - did you make any recent changes to the air filter/carburetor system, like put in a high performance filter? if so it also usually requires the carbs to be adjusted for more fuel so the air-fuel ratio remains ideal. Check the spark plugs to see if they are light coloured indicating a lean burn. #2 - the bike is water cooled? have you pulled out the thermostat? it could be stuck partway open, replace it. Try running without one to see if the bike runs cooler

Hi whats the best way to deep clean carbs

The best way is to get your Kawasaki dealer to do the work. He or she has the parts, tools and expertise to return your carbs to good as new condition. Unless you have the same, you will be disappointed with the results and it will take you a long long time.

I have a 1980 z1000j model and it back fires bad,it hasent been going for 18months as we moved house now i want to continue to chase this problem i have hit the wall,i have replaced the plugs, leads,ai

Like all mechanical issues this is just a matter of elimination. There is no mention of the exhaust system in the comment. Is the motor backfiring despite the exhaust? Is there a corroded suppression baffle increasing back pressure? "... looking back this issue has slowly got worse" There is a balance in the explosive gases, based on the comment. So it seems the ignition chamber gases / fuel mix is correct. But there is enough fuel air ratio to post ignite, seems like an exhaust side issue from the comments. Still there is nothing like feet on the ground ;)

Trouble starting and oil cloudy

try removing your spark plug then turn your engine over a few times but be careful there may be some oil or gas that sputters out so have a rag ready. Do that a few times until you dont see anything coming out then replace spark plug and try starting it again. If that doesnt solve it you may have to replace you rings ( on the pistons)

Air bledding radiator and engine

There is no bleeding it. The correct/official procedure is;- Tighten the drain plugs- Fill the radiator up to the thermostat housing filler neck with coolant.- Fill the reservoir tank up to the upper level line with coolant.- Start the engine with the radiator cap removed and run it until no more air bubbles can be seen in the coolant.- Tap the radiator hoses to force any air bubbles caught inside.- Stop the engine and add coolant up to the radiator filler neck.- Install the radiator cap.- Fill the reservoir tank up to the upper level line with coolant and install the cap.I hope this help,Sid.

Where to put the water in a Kawasaki ZXR 400 1994

The is a reservoir tank mounted under the fuel tank on the left hand side of the bike.Notes:1. always use 50:50 water/anti-freeze2. don't fill tank past the max line (excess coolant will get dump out the bottom of the bike when hot, and coolant of slippery ;)3. If loosing coolant, find out why. Damaged hose, blown head gasket or stuffed thermostat are like causes.

There is petrol leaking from the overflow on my

No, the overflow tube should dump the fuel out the bottom of the bike.Possible solutions (?): 1: Don't over fill the tank. 2: Check for corrosion in the tank overflow tube.

My cam chain is rattley

There is a cam chain tensioner on the ZXR 400. It sounds like you need a new cam chain.Important Note: The cam cahin tensioner is held on by the two bolts that hold the clutch cable bracket underneath the timing cover. Never loosen these bolt and re tighten them. If you need to undo them, remove the cam chain tensioner and reset it.

Startermotor not working on zxr400

If you have a voltage meter, connect it to the battery, you should have at least 12.2 volts, hit the starter button and watch the meter...if the meter does not drop, then no power is going to the starter. Let me know what you find.
