kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues - Page 8
Hi av got a zx6r
When you first accelerate the carby injects extra fuel for take off, from the accelerator pump, if this is blocked than you will have a flat spot, which is what you are describing, you need to get the carburettors off and have them checked/serviced/cleaned, if your bike was injected than dirty injectors would give you the same problem.
I have a 2004 kawasaki
Follow the red (Positive) battery cable out away from the battery, you will find the main starter relay and with this relay is a main fuse under a plastic cover to the side. Check this fuse, if this fuse is ok. You need to check your wiring to/from the key switch. You can check the battery connection with a short wire and jump across the starter relay. Jump across the two large post of the relay. If the battery is hooked up and hot, the starter will turn. if all this is ok, you have a main harness problem. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.
My bike ran fine last
try a new oil pressure sender.
other problems could be incorrectly fitted or faulty oil filter, stuck bypass in oil pump, or the wire has been dislodged or damaged off the oil sender
Where is the air filter on a 1995 kawasaki ninja
Hello
The air filter on this bike is under the fuel tank, you will have to remove the seat and there will find the bolt holding the tank down, once this bolt is removed the tank will then just lift up.
Thanks

try putting a new float in the carb and check that it isnt flooded or the carb housing is cracked because it could be sucking in air some where and make sure its the right carb for the bike
if this dosent work the cheapest way it to make the valve clearance right as it says in the manual then try it if still not try bumping the bike if this dosent work just ask again
thanks hope it helped

G'day.
I guess your wondering what is going on- no loss of coolant but it's moving from the radiator to the catch tank. You put it back in the radiator & back it goes to the catch tank again- seems like somthings wrong but the answer is simple really.
As your bike warms up,the cooant in the radiator expands with the heat & moves excess to the catch tank.
Then the water contracts when the bike cools down & some of the coolant is now in the catch tank & the radiator a bit low.
So what to do.
Run it & this time don't put the excess back in the radiator.
Set the catch tank to max & then just moniter whats going on from there.
It's normal for the radiator to be down just that bit when cold to allow for the water expansion when it gets hot.
If the radiator gets too low ,coolant will be drawn out of the catch tank to fill it up.
This is called a coolant recovery system & is commonly fitted to liquid cooled bikes.
The part to check is the radiator cap.
You will see two rubber parts on the under side of the cap.
One black rubber on a spring & the other seal just under the lip of the cap.Check that these are not damaged.
If either is split replace the radiator cap.
I hope this has been of some help.
Kind regards Andrew Porrelli
Fuel coming out of my
One of the carb floats is stuck open by sone trash in the carb. Remove the float bowl, float and float needle then use some spray carb cleaner.
Had complete tuneup on bike.
Get the starter and battery connection checked. Also check if the battery voltage is correct and battery is fully charged up to 12 volts. If the battery is not properly charged, it can be low battery issue. Also if battery is loosing charge again n again, then it can be problem with voltage regulator. The voltage regulator is not charging the battery.Check power to the starter with ignition turned on, if there is no power to starter, that means the battery to starter connection is loose or faulty.Or the starter it self is faulty.--------if it doesnt crank/start check the battery, battery cables etc, if it cranks but does not start. Verify that you have spark, and fuel.-------
This should help.thanks.Helpmech.

Drain all the fuel and put super high test in it, look for cracks or any leaks from the heads and cylinder walls
Valves hitting on pistons
if the valves hit the pistons the cam timing out way out.
Even a slight touch between the piston and valves can bend the valves, you may be able to confirm this if the valve clearances are too big,
the head may need to come off
