When the old one already was leaking, you first have to let the head flattened by a special service centre, or els you will blow out the new gasket within days. These kind of jobs are better done by a workshop. It will cost some more, but in the end it is done well and you won't run into trouble too soon.

If you have a petcock below the tank with a reserve switch, you should have two lines. The smaller one is a vacuum line that goes to the carbs. The other is the fuel line. The vacuum line is important, as without it the petcock will not flow fuel. The presence of a vacuum opens a pneumatically operated valve in the petcock allowing fuel to flow. There should be a nub on the middle of one of the carbs to connect the vacuum line to. The fuel line goes to a fuel rail that feeds all the carbs.

If the engine is warm it should be pushed in, or turned down. If the engine is cold it should be pulled out, or turned up.

Negative earth wiring systems need a good contact earth, check the earth lead terminal from your battery see where it terminates it might need sanding up a bit , the reason for your tank becoming live is that it is bieng fed by a live feed somewhere underneath it. I know its a pain having to take off the panels and tank off but im quite sure that if you take it off youll find it, a wire could be displaced, freyed and touching.

Check all shifting bearings and links, clutch and clutch cable.

O2 sensor in muffler system not registering CPU shut down

Have you replaced your exhurst system if you have did you put the O2 sensor back in as f1 error code is for this sensor and your CPU can not tell if the engine is running correctly and will shut the engine down when a gear is selected

If it was stored for the winter the high speed jets are probably gummed up. This is at least worth a try. Go to an Autoparts store and buy some Sta-bil, that is a brand name fuels gel and varnish remover. I often find this is all that is necessary to get a unit running right after storage. Mix it a little stronger than one ounce to five gallons. good luck hope this helps.

More likely is a head gasket. A temp sensor reads liquid temp, and with air being pumped into the system will give you a false reading. Are you running a 50/50 mix or anti freeze? Pure antifreeze will actually allow an engine to over heat, however you usually see it on the gauge.

Does the engine misfire? Check your HT leads (connect the spark plugs to the coils) is one of them loose?

Do any lights come on when you turn the key? Do you need to pull in the clutch leaver to start? Make sure engine kill switch is in run position, Make sure you have petrol if more than 2 months old change it. Check main and ignition fuses are OK in fact check all fuses while your at it. Make sure your battery is OK your charger may say full but that does not mean the battery has enough oomph to start the bike. How long ago since it last ran OK does anything come to mind when you stopped it then. Times of no run = times of problems.

when you drilled out the pilot jet you destroyed it. Even if you have jewelers bits they are to big. One drill bit size is 6 to 10 jet sizes. Replace the pilot jets, you are running WAYYYYY to rich at idle.

What year, and was it first sold in CA? Many Asian bikes w/ carbs had restrictors on the fuel adjustments. Locks down so lean for emissions that they wouldn't even idle. Look for rejetting kits on the internet if so. Easy to tap out restrictor and rejet. Did that on a 2010 Suzuki and it ran great.

buy a genuine manual for your bike before attempting to fix any wiring.

After u rebuild the carbs and it dont clear it out check ur cdi they are known to do crazy things!
