Why wont my starter disengage after my bike starts

Why does my starter not disengage after the bike starts

Solenoid is sticking, age,heat, dirt etc on the solenoid shaft makes it stick. It may be possible to replace the solenoid assy, but easier to replace the unit as a whole motor and solenoid, it may also be non serviceable. Make sure you did not loose any teeth on the flywheel. it will make a deadspot, motor spins free without engaging the teeth. And if it catches one while spinning it will break another one off. if u can tuen the throttle and it still run ..its ur idle,u need to adjust ur idle adjustment screw ur manual can help u find this

Just replaced fuel pump as that was diagnosed to be problem but still problem is evident

Carb is not letting enough fuel into the engine. That means the mixture is too lean. When you choke it, you restrict the air flow into the engine and now the air/fuel mixture is correct and it runs. Check the carbs and injectors if it has them.

Where is the radiator cap located

The main Hi-Pressure cap is under the Gas Tank. You'll have to remove the tank to access it ... But there's an overflow reservoir with it's own cap behind the Right Hand Side Cover, just below the seat.
