2002 Kawasaki KLX 300 R how to rebuild the carburetor

Fist, Shut off the fuel at the fuel tap. Second, remove the drain screw, and drain any remaining fuel from the float bowl. Reinstall the drain screw. Third, remove the two 8mm mounting bolts from the rear of the carburetor body.
Step 4. Release the clamp, and remove the fuel line from the right side of the carburetor.
Step 5. Remove the spacer from between the carburetor and the intake pipe.
2000 800B. While trying to break the nut on the front sprocket, should the sprocket move with the nut?
Of course. The bolt is in the middle of the splined shaft and holds the sprocket as well. Some have a hole where you insert a rod to lock the sprocket, or you can put the bike in 1st Gear and give the breaker bar a sharp tap with a lump hammer. Or you can jam the chain somewhere back by the back sprocket, for instance putting a ratchet strap through the rear forks and the wheel, or you can get someone to apply the rear brake.
