Fuel tank?

sounds like a wiring problem

is the screw under the carb

sounds like stator and/or voltage regulator has had it. hard to say which one. i would first check that there is sufficient voltage over all 3 phases coming into the regulator and then the regulator post exit voltage.

do a compression check. sounds like one of the headgaskets are leaking.

Hi Kristian, Seems like the needle could be stuck inside the seat.... You need to pull your carby off and unscrew the bottom half from the top, 1st sign of a needle stuck inside the seat is a dry carby There you'll find the float, push the float up and down and see if the needle above the float slides up and down from the seat, If the needle stays up then it's stuck and NOT letting the fuel into the carby, Just pull it down with your fingers to loosen it up. Open throttle, in gear engine builds up revs but road speed drops, especially up hill; is a slipping clutch.

have you checked the spark? also after a year of being idle i would suggest the carb needs cleaning out
