I just replaced the rear

To bleed the brakes, follow these instruction exactly. First, depress the rear brake pedal and hold it. Open the brake bleed valve on the rear brake caliper and allow the brake fluid and air to escape. Then, close the brake bleeder valve. Then, release the brake pedal. Repeat the procedure until you get no air from the brake system. You can connect a piece of small diameter tubing to the brake bleed valve to direct the fluid to a catch container.

Good Luck

2011 harley davidson heritage softail classic, service manual

The factory Harley-Davidson manuals are the best of all available service manuals. However, in my years of spinning wrenches on Harleys, I've found parts manuals to be a valuable asset. The HD parts books show expanded views of each assembly. If you take anything off the bike then disassemble it there is no guesswork in the reassembly. This is an example of an expanded view(smooth bore CV carburetor). Notice each part is numbered and by studying the diagram it's a simple matter to reassemble the carb. 14860823-oocj1x2drphoyb5k2kyew3cf-2-0.jpg Obtaining the parts book/manual can be problematic. Some Harley-Davidson dealers don't/won't sell them. However, many dealers will sell a parts book with no problem One thing to keep in mind; parts books aren't sold every day, therefore , most will need to be ordered. Finally, much Harley-Davidson service work requires "special" tools available from Harley-Davidson or Kent Moore. Knock-off tools are around, however, in my experience, most aren't worth having. Good luck and happy motoring!

Bike shuts off enxpectedly

Just a guess, have you checked the ignition coils? One may have a crack in the wound wire. When it warms it opens then closes when it cools down. There are a number of things that can cause your problem, but I would start with the ignition system.

1998 Heritage had aftermarket rear led turn signals mounted on the fender struts, they were very small and hard to see.So i want to replace them bigger incandecent lights. My question is ;Can I use the

The aftermarket LED's will likely have a signal reducer in-line that will have to be removed before you put standard lights in. The reason it will have these, are because when you replace OEM lights with after market LED's they have a tendancy to HYPER-FLASH. Simply because they are computer controlled instead of flasher controlled.
