2003. How do I adjust the idle and fuel mixture scew?
The fuel mixture isn't what it used to be my friend. All's it does nowadays is all ow a little more air into the mixture. For the most past one turn or five doesn't much unless you live on top of mt everest. One turn is recommended. If you're experiencing problems and are adjusting it to relieve the trouble I'm afraid it may not help. The idle speed will increase the rpm, once again truth is if you're experiencing a problem it may not help. following the throttle cable from the handle bar to the carb you will plainly see where and how to adjust yet, would you like to share why you wish to? Thank you, Merry Christmas
2003. How do I adjust the idle screw and fuel mixture screw?
I provided this answer a couple times today, either it's a seasonal thing or a friend that really needs help.
It's important to ask why you wish to adjust them. I have bikes with over 50,000 miles that have never been touched, and if you're having trouble I doubt adjusting these is gonna help.
The fuel mixture screw does nothing nowadys other than letting a little more air in, they are not in the fuel circuit, raising your idle is somewhat limited too however tracing the throttle cable back will reveal a set screw. It would be in your best interest to gove some info if there's a running problem. Best of Luck, Merry Christmas
I want to wire a
To locate the ACC wire on the rear of the switch by using a simple 12v light power probe. Earth the alligator clip and the pointed end to the wire. switch the key on and off. Some wires will have power all the time and others will turn on and off. Remember to use the heaviest wire possible from the back of the switch as you're powering an amp which will draw a lot of power. On your Amp it will have how many watts it uses. Divide that amount by 12v and this will be your Amperage draw to place the right size inline fuse if there isn't one already on both the red and orange + line. Solder wires together for trouble free use.
