Check your fuse in the drivers side dash with the door open it's right there thanx Chris

Make sure your not in winter mode that would cause the car to start off in 2nd gear

It should b on the dash on the drivers door side

I'm fairly certain it's your turn signal stalk. Do the hazard lights flash?

You want to go to the dealership or a mechanic WITH THE VOLVO VIDA and DICE tools to properly read the car. It will generally tell you everything you need to know about what's wrong. If I had to guess at your problem, I would think it's the electronic throttle module that is bad.

That sounds like a thermostat. Usually not an expensive problem, but one you want to address soon. Right now, it's convinced that the engine is hot, and is wide open. It could easily flip to thinking that the engine is cold and stick closed. THEN your radiator WILL boil over.

The problem is... Jolline Troy, What are you going to do when you know....(see bottom) Turbo or non-turbo engine??? (I posted TURBO BELOW... easy to change... just look). Your Volvo is having noticeable issues... and the indicator says Oxygen Sensor... (wrong). Which means they are sensing something ABNORMAL... If you put in NEW Oxygen sensors... You really are going to be out a bit of MONEY... but the symptoms... running poorly... possibly back firing... Even stalling (or ... ULTIMATELY ... not running at all... WON'T GET BETTER... simply because you changed a SENSOR. Your sensor is sensing an ISSUE... Hopefully... I have convinced you that when your eye beholds Rosie O'Donnell in a ********** outfit... Your eye is not the problem... (do not pluck the EYE out... (Change channels)). Like-wise... OXYGEN SENSORS detect issues wit EXHAUST SYSTEMS not burning cleanly ... TYPICALLY an EARLY SIGN of a CATALYTC CONVERTER failure... or a rusted muffler... ready to completely block your EXHAUST... halfway across the Gobi, Sahara, Mojave (etc.) deserts... or Manhattan in the commute. You are MOST likely in the market for a new catalytic converter or a muffler... Check out your parts prices on ROCKAUTO & AMAZON... before going to your LOCAL MUFFLER SHOP... If yu take it to the dealer... they will take it to the MUFFLER SHOP... and add $800 or $1000 to their bill.... It is not a tough job (as long as you know what penetrating oil and gloves are all about... (dirty though). Hope i'm helping... You need to run an OBD2 fault code test, once you have the codes you can then begin diagnostics to repair this.

In my experience it is the drivers door lock actuator at fault. This is also a part of the door clasp that holds the door shut. Likely the motor or thermal fuse inside this has failed. It's not overly expensive as a replacement item. Looking at between $45-$115 depending on where you purchase it.

if they haven't been hit check fuse or wiring.

if there are fuses have you checked them they might not been blown but they may have brown residue on legs of fuse so need to be cleaned or replaced

Has the mirror been knocked or damaged ? Does it make any sound or try to move ? Does it work when set to automatically fold when locking the car ? Does the mirror adjust OK ? If it does then it would appear that the electrical connection is Ok and its probably a motor/ servo fault in the mirror arm/bracket. Alsp easiest option is there a fuse for them if so check it.

First check fuse that's easiest option failing that I would remove center where switch is check if your getting power and ground to the switch by unplugging switch, and connect a test light to the power side of the harness if it lights up power is good. Then check ground side if ground is good. You may have a bad switch or it has a circuit issue from switch to door.

Undo the nut & pull arm off then fit new arm, if replacing the motor you need to remove bumber
