There is no pass fuse box

cant remove that washer replace it has to be there for functional reasons i use this site for all my automatic repair and rebuild manuals if that volvo not listed in the import lists ..use the "contact us " ATSG Import Manuals

friends and friends of friends seldom fix problems the first step in saving money is to go to an accredited service center that has experience on your make of car and have the fault codes read ( that is what the ECM is there for --to record sensor faults for future reference ) Then find a service dealer or accredited service center that can fix the faults putting an additive or diesel fuel conditioner in the tank will not cause a problem but it may initially as it removes problem gunk in the tank and lines and blocks filters the engine having high rpms with little vehicle speed indicates a problem in the transmission control as well but the codes will show all the problem areas

time to run the fault codes to see which sensors need replacing check fuel pressure and replace the fuel filter

disconnect bettery and join the cables together ,leave 10 mins and reconnect and see what happens P0042 HO2S Heated Oxygen Sensor -Control Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 3) this is a universal code the volvo code list doesnt list this number

door rubbers need changing possibly

The first thing that you must do here is to have the systems computer checked for fault codes, it should have a few in memory. the codes are read through the diagnostic port under the dash.

possibly a partially open window or partially open sunshine roof.

trace the injector pipe back and eventually yo uwill arrive at the fuel filter.

COULD BE YOUR HEATER CORE IT'S UNDER THE DASH ON THAT SIDE.

It is inside of the transmission attached to the valve body assembly

You mean day running lights?could unhook .

Good luck on this one. You have a notorious break in your volvo heater core. That is a real pain if you do it yourself. Look up the procedure on youtube before you attempt to replace it.

what an unusual fault code for a volvo ecu error // ignition keys not being recognized ? any letters or prefexes with that 8227 OBD II Fault Code P8227

Is the shift button still depressed? Try popping it out with a thin piece of metal and the key should come out. Also try using some penitrating oil on the slot / key to get it out like liquid wrench not wd40. Then, use some graphite grease on the key and slot to prevent this in the future and clean the shifter button
