I put my car on ramps. Using a screwdriver and hammer, I chipped away at the leaky freeze plug until I was able to remove it with a pair of pliers. I replaced it with a rubber expansion plug. No more problems. You may want to consider changing other freeze plugs. I wasn't sure what size I needed, so I bought several sizes and simply returned the unopened ones for a refund.

Fill the tank up to full and you should be ok.

You have to drain the fuel tank and disconnect fuel lines and blow out with compressed air. The fuel pump is in the tank take it out and spray down with WD-40. If you run the car with unlead gas it will damage the motor.

Is the engine malfunction light on? Have you checked for DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)? That would be the first thing to do, as it sounds you are in Limp Mode. Question edited for clarity. Question moved to model category. You have a leak, you just need to find it. Look for leaks in the hoses. Do a pressure test. The most common reasons a Volvo S40 has a coolant leak are loose hose connections, a broken radiator, or a failed water pump.

They make a cd player cleaner you can buy about any audio store , I would give that a shot first. Looks like a cd with small brushes on it. The laser is probably dirty.

Cylinder head bolts (D4192T2): Cylinder head bolts are tightened in two stages. There is no need for retightening. Follow the order as pictured. Stage 1: Tighten to 30 Nm, Angle tighten to 50° ±4° in one movement without stopping. Then wait at least three minutes in order for the cylinder head gasket to stabilise. Stage 2: Completely loosen bolts 1 and 2. Tighten bolts 1 and 2 to 25 Nm. Angle tighten to 213° ±7° in one movement without stopping. Repeat the Stage 2 for the remaining bolts in the order 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 as illustrated.
