How to replace alternator
Disconnect the battery. Remove the serpentine belt. Disconnect and remove the power steering pump. Unbolt the alternator and remove. Replace the alternator and reassemble.
How to fix my speedometer
Take it to a speedometer shop. You cannot service it yourself. You can remove the unit and send it out if you want to save money but there are not parts available to you to fix it other than the gear to fix the odometer if it stops working
P codes list
First 2 are misfire codes. the third code is for the mass air flow sensor. It is probably the source of the other 2 codes. Replace the MAF sensor. USE ONLY A BOSCH MAF. The aftermarket sensor are crap. If you get one that works it will not last. Buy only the Bosch unit and you will not have issues. This is based on 35 years working on these vehicles professionally.
Volvo 850 problem
P1310 is a misfire code which means misfire on more that one cylinder. Cat was probably damages as a result of the misfire. Start with replacement of the ignition cap, rotor, wires and plugs. could be another issue but most likely it is ignition 80-90% of the time
Loosen belt tensioner
You need the special square drive tool that fits in the tensioner to take tension off the belt.
Can't find fuel lid button
Does not have a fuel lid button. If it will not open it is usually the lock solenoid is not working. You need to remove the interior panel inside the car behind the fuel filler. You will see a solenoid that you can unbolt and remove to open the door. The solenoid will need to be tested.
Knocking problems
Have a shop check the oil pressure and listen to the engine for you. Knocking usually indicates a serious engine issue.

If this has the coil over the spark plug try replacing the coil. If it still has wires replace the cap, rotor and wires. Do a compression test and check for a mechanical problem like a burnt valve.
Has fuel pressure no spark
Start by checking the crank position sensor. You need a graphing multi meter or lab scope to read the signal. It is an a/c sine wave generator and it is what sends a signal to the ECU to control spark. If you do not understand how to use these tools do not attempt to diagnose this item as it generates enough voltage to hurt you.
