I have a Vauxhall insignia and the battery is dead
As Steve Pack said, you replace a dead battery. And if there is some other issue regarding the battery, you are in good hands with Steve. Respond to his query.
If the battery is indeed dead, you can jump-start your Insignia using jumper cables and a healthy battery from another vehicle. Connect the red cable to the positive terminal of your Insignia's dead battery and then to the positive terminal of the donor battery. Next, connect the black cable to the negative terminal of the donor battery and then to bare metal in the engine bay of your Insignia. Start the donor vehicle and then your Insignia. Finally, remove the cables in reverse order.
Coolant leak, no signs on a vauxhall combo 2012+
Are you loosing this coolant overnight when the engine is cold or after you've been driving around and the engine is hot? If this overnight and a cold engine it has to be leaking out somewhere. If you have access to a garage, or somewhere that will stay dry, park there overnight and put a sheets of cardboard under the front of the vehicle. Make sure some sheets are far enough back to cover the area level with the driver's pedals. Check the cardboard the next morning at it will give you a rough idea where the leak is. After driving the vehicle and the coolant pipes are cool enough to touch use a rag or paper towels to make sure they are dry. Next morning with the engine COLD run your hand along the underside of all the radiator and coolant pipes you can reach. Your feeling for where they've gotten wet again overnight.
If it's happening when you've been driving around for a while it could be a 'pressure' leak. A coolant system is pressurised when it's running. Sometimes a small hole in a coolant hose can open and leak when the engine is hot and the hole will then close stopping the leak when the engine cools down. This often leaves 'stains' where the coolant has landed and evaporated. The stains will be a light colour the same as the colour of the coolant your using.
Another place where you can get bigger leaks is the water pump itself. These have a 'Weep' hole built into bottom of the pump which is designed as an escape valve and is a sign the water pump seal or the pump itself is failing.
Vauxhall meriva 2009 electric power steering
Which 'Bolt' are you referring to? If it is a bolt that only holds a clamp or a bracket to a steering linkage or the body of the vehicle you can replace the bolt on it's own. If the bolt is part of the actual mechanism that operates the steering you are safest to get a good mechanic to look at it first 'Before' you remove anything. DON'T remove bolts if you are even slightly unsure.
**NOTE** Use the correct bolt. Some bolts on the steering column are designed to break in a certain way in the event of an accident. This is so the steering column doesn't badly hurt the driver.
I have a vauxhall insignia and code 4 has come up and the temperature has shot up to 130,what could be the issue?
A Code 4 on a Vauxhall is usually referring to there being an issue with the Air conditioning (A/C) system or a problem with a temperature sensor on the engine.
Dashboard codes are usually just a basic warning like the other warning lights on the instrument display. Have you had the vehicle scanned for OBD2 Trouble Codes? These Trouble Codes can give more specific clues as to where the problem could actually be. Comment below with these codes and I'll try to help you more.
If you have to pay for the ODB2 scan ask at 4 or 5 different places as prices can be VERY different.
Side loading door on Vauxhall vivaro doesn't lock/unlock
- Check the door lock mechanism: Ensure that the lock mechanism is functioning properly by checking it manually. If it's not working, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
- Check the electrical system: Make sure that the wiring and connections are secure and functioning properly. If there is an issue with the electrical system, it may need to be repaired.
- Check the control module: If the door lock mechanism and electrical system appear to be functioning properly, the issue may be with the central locking control module. It may need to be repaired or replaced.
- Contact a mechanic: If you are unable to resolve the issue on your own, it's best to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic. They can diagnose the problem and provide a solution.
Note: The solution will depend on the specific issue, so it's recommended to have a professional diagnose the problem for an accurate and effective repair.
Vauxhall Astra on U.K. 14 plate. Traction Control and Engine Management
Question edited for clarity and better English.
This question seems very familiar to me, did you post it before Emma?
It sounds to me like someone is spinning you a tale because you are female. If the crank sensor was faulty, you car wouldn't even start.
All your issues are electronic and you have lots of issues. The only way to diagnose these faults is electronically with a pro grade $5,000 scan tool computer, whatever that is in British Pounds. (I am British by the way). May I suggest that you get a male to phone. Many auto electricians are mobile and will come to you. To me, things pint to a faulty ECM, the engine computer module, or the connections to it.

Vauxhall Astra Twintop 2 door 2011 model. The sunroof won't open instead keeps beeping every time I try to open it. Can someone please help?
There could be a few reasons why your sunroof on your 2011 Vauxhall Astra Twintop 2 door is not opening and instead beeping when you try to open it. Some possible causes include:
- The sunroof switch or control module may be faulty and not sending the correct signal to open the sunroof.
- The sunroof motor may be malfunctioning and unable to open the sunroof.
- The sunroof track or guide may be obstructed, preventing the sunroof from opening.
- The sunroof may be locked in a closed position and unable to open.
To fix the issue with your sunroof, I recommend having a professional mechanic check your vehicle to determine the cause of the problem and make any necessary repairs.
Regarding the blind, I would recommend looking at the vehicle's manual.
