1991 Toyota Previa. Rear hatch key LOCK removal? How to do this please?

Question edited to much better English. Question moved to model category. No one has ever done this before. https://www.google.com/search?q=1991+Toyota+Previa.+Rear+hatch+key+LOCK+removal When the vehicle was delivered all the keys and locks matched. Something went wrong in-between? If you only need a key as a back up, because if is electric, you can have a spare key cut if the locksmith uses an impressioning tool which provides a profile of the key which can then be cut. Have two made, keep one at home and one in the glove box. You need a new auto locksmith, it should be an easily guessable key cut. https://www.google.com/search?q=auto+locksmith+near+me Or https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem-toyota-previa-tailgate_lock.html ..

I have a toyota estima 2000 that has trouble going into overdrive I have try everything even sent it to the shop it still has trouble going into overdrive we told to turn it off and start it up and tr

Please read the question, it has nothing to do with the car not starting... The questions is WHY won't the trans shift into overdrive ) It's an intermittent problem and probably a sticky OD solenoid in the trans or maybe temp sensor in cooling system etc. But my point here is please read the question and answer accordingly instead of going off on a tangent and wasting ppls time!

1991 Toyota Previa. I have a 91, well, that's what the production date was on sticker on the the inside of driver door.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to model Category. If it cranks, it _does_ turn over. You are cranking but not firing or starting. Does your vehicle have an anti-theft alarm and immobilizer? Is the battery light on, or is it the anti-theft light? If so, it needs to be reset when you disconnect the battery. It sounds like you have a battery issue, or a battery charging issue. Your best bet is a mobile auto-electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to correctly diagnose. The link is inconclusive regarding an immobilizer, but I bet it has one. https://www.google.com/search?q=1991+toyota+previa+reset+security ..

CAUSE OF OVERHEATING 2003 TOYOTA

For many of the 90's and 2000's Toyota various models - Camry, Tacoma, 4 Runners, Corolla, and some other models it is usually caused by temperature sensitive fan switch on the radiator not operating. Electric fan on the radiator should operate when temp above 200 degrees. Less often the control relay 90987-03003 is defective. Check if bubbling in the radiator smells like exhaust. That would indicate a blown head gasket. A jumper wire from your marker light positive to the lower contact in the fan control relay socket will operate your fan when parking lights are on. The larger vehicles with more powerful radiator fans will need a hefty jumper from a headlight positive to avoid overheating the lighting wiring. Make sure the engine is off and warmed up to check the radiator core with your hand to see if it is getting circulation. If it is all cold the thermostat might be stuck.

Oil level light stays blinking on toyota previa

most of these models have 2 oil lights. The red one is oil pressure,if flashing or on when engine is running,it is usually serious.check oil level, but usually caused by blocked pickup screen(a common toyota fault) when services aren't done. The orange oil light is tripped by an oil level sensor on the side of the sump when the oil level is low.If the oil level is ok,note this is a common fault especially if oil changes have been missed,and/or a petrol engine oil used and sludge builds up,sometimes using an additive for flushing prior to oil change can help, but may not work on 1st oil change.

What are the bolt and nut locations on a 1992 2WD Toyota Previa?

Hi There is are 3 bolts securing the starter motor, the starter motor is located under the passenger seat area and should be accessed from under the vehicle. The key is to get the van high enough to be able to slide comfortable under the side of the van to access all bolts, only the bottom bolt has a bolt and a nut the other 2 bolts have threads which secure the starter motor onto the engine there is one bolt at the bottom, one bolt in the middle and one bolt near the very top you will have to undo the 2 x 10mm bolts that hold the dip stick first to be able to get to the middle and top bolt of the stater motor. take your time and have some patience you will get it it just takes practice.

Turn car off and it's in park but the indicator light under P is lite green when doors are closed and also clock stays on. Noticed this 4 or 5 days ago and battery dead today. 1994 Previa Toyota

Likely the ignition switch is not rotating completely into the off position. If your key is extremely worn, it may be possible it can be removed without the switch exactly in the off position. Suggest trying a different (less used) key and see if problem goes away. Else try to make sure it is in off position (clock off) before removing key. If you find that's the problem you may need new keys or switch or both.
