A 2015 Camry is relatively new and should not be having any mechanical issues as long as the oil and filter are changed every 5,000 miles. My Lexus ES330 Camry has done 270,000 km. Does the noise speed up when the engine speed increases? It is does, it could be many things. It is doesn't it could be suspension related. the thermostat is located driver's side of the vehicle. Follow the upper radiator hose to its end to a water outlet housing. the thermostat is in the outlet. take off the air flter lid and hose and it is easier to get to. take the hose off and the metal line to the housing. the other part of the housing is holding the thermostat. it is held with two 10 mm bolts. good luck.

What you have is a bad Idle Air Control ("I.A.C.") valve. This device admist a precise amount of air to keep the engine running at idle. This is a common issue. Get a new one from a dealer, and you will be up and running fine.

Ignition timing could be off, the plug wires and firing order may be scrambled, there could be a large air leak into the intake manifold, the EGR could be stuck open, the fuel pressure is too high and flooding the engine through the cold start injector, the MAP or MAF sensor is faulty, very dirty fuel injectors, idle air control valve defective, the engine coolant temp sensor is faulty (stuck at full hot).

Didn't I answer this yesterday? You need an auto electrician to connect a professional grade scan tool computer, and set it to record live data and take it for a test drive. It will record exactly what goes wrong when the car loses power. That will dictate the fix. This type of fault you can't just guess. The ABS light being on is most likely the wheel speed sensor, the wheel speed sensor is still 100% good, it's just that someone didn't remove the sensor before working on the strut, so when they pushed down on the lower control arm or knuckle they ripped the 20-24 Gauge wire apart, you can buy a new harness or splice it back together and use heat shrink to hold it.

P0442 OBD-II Trouble Code - Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)

What does that mean?
This indicates a fuel vapor leak in the EVAP control system. It means a very small leak has been detected. In fact, the leak can be from a hole as small as 0.04" in diameter. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.


Symptoms
You likely won't notice any drivability problems.


Causes
A code P0442 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
* A loose or improperly affixed gas cap
* A non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand)
* A small leak/hole in a fuel vapor hose/tube
* Other small leak in EVAP system
* Faulty vent o-ring seal


Possible Solutions
With a P0442, the most common repair is to:
* Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.
* Otherwise, replace the gas cap, or
* Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses

P0102 & B2799 no engine told and is engine problems. of 3. 2.4 gas and 2.4 electric gas/hybrid! and 3.5L V6 ????????????? no vin told, the 8th digit (usa) is engine code, learn to share that. so the starter motor spins fast and engine too spin but will not start.? the word turns over , means zero in the real world. the starter spins, (turns) the crank shaft turns (if lucky spins) and the engine starts and runs and stays running. a serial process that./ worse yet? other say turns means engine runs turns over means ZERO to me. . or cranks fast? but will not start? or runs for 1 to 10 seconds and stalls. try to know we are blind and deaf here, we can not hear you turn the to start via key, and matters huge. this. you put in a new battery and all I can do is scratch my head. and think gee your starter was dead?. starter motor dead. or not charged up.<<bet this I do. (blind) P0102 MAF reads low, ( means weak and when weak engine power will be WEAK) the error means really SUPER WEAK or dead even.. or starter + battery weak causes fails error. & B2799 IMMO errors RULE #1 is: to fix any cars even DIY the cars battery must be kept fully charged using a tool of same name a battery charger on any engine that fails to start and or Alternator is dead. must. or the computers on board lie to you , with weak battery for sure cranking down and draining the battery too low. b2799 Error in communication between hybrid vehicle control ECU and ID code box... so is is the Hybrid car and you never told that. wow not good for you and getting wrong answers and guessing wrong. B2799 is also listed as IMMO comm errors max. my guess you keep cranking the dead engine and the computers on board tell you lies RECAP no engine told. not one clue not told if starter motor (cranking) is dead, weak slow or you cranked the dead engines battery flat tow the car to a real shop. they will charge the battery first and load test it then crank the engine. and see if it starts. OK what to do now. besides tow to shop check call fuses. charge the battery 100% and keep it charged or you will not make progress fast. OR NEVER. TURN (THE ENGINE/START/STOP BUTTON DEAD? LOOK AT THE DASH CLUSTER AND IMMO LAMP kEY NOT DETECTED.? THE IMMO LAMP MUST BE HAPPY(GLOW) IF IMMO FAILS USE THE 2ND KEY TOY GAVE YOU DAY1 NEW YOU HAVE 2 KEYS, UNLESS YOU LOST THE 2ND OK IMMO HAPPY TURN THE KEY TO START, AND CRANK THE ENGINE IF WILL NOT START ADD 5% (A TAD) RIGHT FOOT THROTTLE STARTS NOW?
