While trying to play a CD in my 2005 Pontiac G6, the CD will not stay in the disk player and comes back out and gives an error message. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

What is the error message? Also- if the disc is scratched badly, the laser in the CD player may not be able to read the disc. Try another clean CD to see if the disc is the problem.

My CD player in my 2005 Pontiac G6 keeps reading CD error and won't play any CDs...

The cd player is old and the laser is probably out of alignment. You will have to replace it. I would find a local auto wrecking yard or similar online equivalent.

Cd changer error after changing battery on a 2005 pontiac g6

I have this same problem. I've been told by a few people that I have to take the car back to the dealership and have them download a code to reset the changer. Apparently it has an anti theft device on it. I was told by Pontiac this costs 45 dollars. I refuse to do this. I think its a Pontiac scam. Why in the hell should I have to pay 45-100 dollars to have them reprogram the stupid thing because I changed a battery? Originally I just took it to the dealer and they wanted 100 bucks just to look at the thing. I told them forget it. I'd rather spend my 100 dollars on a new cd player set up than waste another penny on GM. So ********** with this scam.

Getting "CD Changer Error" on my 6-CD changer on 2005 Pontiac G6

Unfortunately the radio needs replaced. The dealer will have to replace it with a remanufactured unit, and program it. Then the remanufacturing facility will send you your cd's back.

I am assuming the changer is part of the radio. You try removing the negative cable from the battery and reconnecting it to see if that resets the problem, but unfortunately, the dealer is probably right - not much else you can do.
