My grandmother has a 94 ford ranger. Her battery will drain if it isnt disconnected immediatly after the engine is turned off. there are no warning lights no codes. her alternator is fine and battery checks out. if anyone can help with this problem I would be so thankful. She cant afford a mechanic on her fixed income

There is a cutout that disconnects the battery from the engine when the car is turned off. If this does not work properly, then the battery gets drained. Please check the cutout.

I switched a 2.5 98 ford ranger motor over to a 2.3 94 ford ranger motor it will crank but won't start
Because you can't do that. Two totally different computers. Either go to the 94 and pull all the wiring and computer. Or replace the engine with a 96 to 99 2.5 engine.

10 volts isn't good and if you have a weak connection, it won't turn it over. You should have 12+ from a good battery. Try cleaning the battery connections with a battery brush.

Something is draining the battery on my 1985 Ford Ranger 2.3 and alternator, starter and voltage regular tested as good. What else could be draining the battery?
Best thing to do is disconnect the neg battery terminal put your volt meter on amps and hook it up in series from the neg cable head to the battery neg and disconnect fuses one at a time until the draw goes away,then narrow it down from there
