Not sure here but try this ,insert a empty cartridge and then turn radio on ,then press reject cartridge and see if one cd magically appears in the cartridge .This normally shows as error 1 and its caused by the battery being disconnected with the cartridge in the player

CD stuck in cd player

Hi there:
When CD ERROR shows on the player display, there is a problem with the CD mechanism. It will have to be sent out or taken to a repair shop to have it fixed.

you may have to remove cd player and have the cd removed .then maybe the unit may need to be serviced.dealer may be of help.

Cd player wont accept cd.s says load error

pull the player out but leave it connected. when you push the eject button,lightly tap on the top of the cd player, if there is one jammed, you may want to consider just getting a new cd player, it may do the same to your cd!

Cd player shows error "Mech"

MECH message means a "mechanical communication error", when display on your car cd player indicates that there is a problem with cd player that has do with the mechanism which is jammed up.

You need to open up the player and clean out the dust inside.

My radio/CD player constantly says "ERR" and CD's won't play anymore. It doesn't show the time or the radio station either, just "ERR". I can hear it, like it's trying...

HI lisasmith566 IT is not a fuse problem .
the problem is your the CD part of the radio
must likely the cd is stock or more likely the cd drive motor is defective .
FIRST try pushing eject on radio and see CD comes out if not you need a new radio .

My CD player is malfunctioning. Every time I insert CD the answer is "check CD ".

First off, if you haven't tried it, try a different CD to make sure it is not your CD that is at fault. If that doesn't help, get a lens cleaner for CD/DVD players. ALLSOP makes a good one. It is simple to use and not expensive.

ok error code 1, look for this error code on your owners manual, toyota cd players give 3 error codes, this mean error code 1, error code 2, and error code 3, they all have different meaning please check owners manuel to see what does error 1 mean i will try looking for you

My 2003 gator's cd player wont work. u try to play a cd and it says cd error. i think 1 is jammed, but how do i get it out? pls help me!

my cd player did the same thing i got error message every time i put a cd in .i took it the the dealer and hade to replace cd player the dealer said its common the cd player laser was bad .

Error 1 relates to the laser/reader inside the player. Try a CD in-player cleaner disc, and, if that does not work, remove the unit & unplug it from the dash harness. Replug & turn it on, see what happens. If it continues, the pickup unit in the player is compromised; time to replace it.
