My door lock is jammed and I can't shut the door. How can I fix it?

a panel beater has ways around this

if you can get to the inside of the door
cut the door card away and release the lock
find a replacement door car at a wrecker

you can jimmy the door open with a crow bar
and get the door replaced

Spray some WD-40 or any spray to loosen it and try to move it with a screwdriver.

This is what fixed the my car's driver's door that was stuck closed and locked: the plastic piece that function as the manual lock/unlock on the inside of the door (it's black but when the door's unlocked it has a red side facing out) had essentially popped out and everything was jammed. So you push the button back in while you flip the inside handle open. But maybe I was lucky, in that it was only the button that was jammed.

open the other door to get in.
spray some WD-40 to loosen lock.
if key won't go in there might be something jammed in lock.
I might try a tiny drill to see what is in there.
drill size of .0040 or smaller.

@mark, how would you open the inside door panel when the door itself cannot be opened...i have the exact same problem, and I cannot figure out how to open the damn panel while the door jammed shut...please help...

We do not have this make in the US so have no data onit.

Get a gun and shoot it! Oh, it's a classic. Well, take the inner door panel off to get to the sticky mechanism. Once in there, it should be a simple fix. WD-40 doesn't help on the door latch to try and free it up?

Have you tried pushing in ******* the door as you turn the key lock(if it has one) or hit the `unlock' button?

usually wind down window using torch and sturdy piece of wire or long flat blade scewdriver bend anti theft plate out of way of lock assembly (if still there) and using wire or screw driver move latch on release catch centre bottom area of lock assembly while holding door handle (outer) up to pull door open when you hit the right catch
