My '91 honda was running great until i started hooking up wires that had been cut by former owners then it just quit starting. I checked the distributer even put a new-used one on and fire is going in but nothing is coming out. is there a relay or somthing of like nature that would cause this?
I dont believe that Im getting anything into the distributor cap.
Its like its going into the distributor and getting lost or cut of.
Ive been told that if the oxygen sensor it out it could cause odd problems, But it wasnt hooked up when the car was running in the first place.
I have changed the igniter and the coil both with bran-new ones and it didnt help so I resulted in the new-used distributor which is having the same problem as the old one.
Thank you. I dont believe that Im getting anything into the distributor cap.

Ok start from the beginning, you are going to need a factory wiring diagram to make sure you are connecting the wires to the ignition coil where I believe you need to start

The key switch went bad in my 88 Honda DX.I found out the problem quite by accident.Try playing with the switch very carefully and see if it will start for you! Yes the engine will spin buy it will not feed the coil so it will start.Good Luck!
Try your local junk yard or buy it threw the dealer, the plug can be replaced, most likely he cut it at the switch and not at the connector plug on the harness.

Could be fuel delivery; fuel filter clogged, worn fuel pump. Does it still have battery power when it dies, cranks but no start? How long does it take to start again? When does this occur, engine hot/cold? Does it happen all the time or sometimes? How long does it run until it cuts?
