I have a 93 lincoln towncar with 84k on it. I bought this thing a few months ago from an older gentleman who had not drivin' it in years. I expected alot of problems, but the price was right. So after getting all fixed up, i notice one last thing that annoys me. When ever i sit at a light or stop for 10 seconds or more, i get a rush of water sound coming from the dash when i accelerate. It goes away when im driving, just at that initial take off. It sounds like air rushing throught the heater core maybe. Is there a simple fix for this? Ive heard about BURPING the coolant system??? Is this a real proceedure?

I've never heard of "burping" the coolant system, nor have I ever owned a Lincoln, but based on your description of the problem alone, I would first drain the system, flush it with a good radiator flush (ask the guys at a reputable auto parts store) and refill it - checking all hoses first, of course. While you're at it you might want to check out the water pump and thermostat. The other thing is that the sound you describe as water rush may not be that at all - although i have no suggestions as to what it is. Good luck. . .

SOURCE: Check air suspension dash light comes on

I would suggest replacing the drier as it sounds like its had enough.

The Venting is controlled by two Solonoids*sp that open to let the air in or out depending what its being told to, otherwise its just from drier to the bags.

If there leaking the fast you may need to replace them, there not ment to last forever.

If your pumping the suspension from flat after it goes down it can cause damage to the bags repumping them full as its alot of strain on them.

SOURCE: 92 lincoln towncar air bag light flashing

Air suspension is controlled by the compressor in your engine compartment.  The compressor runs when the suspension is not level.  Either because you have loaded the car with exceptional weight and the system is now adjusting the ride, or you have a leak in the system, or you have a bad sensor.
If you have a leak, the most likely culprit are the air suspension bags, the air suspension solenoids or possibly the lines to them.

I don't work for either of them.  I own a 96 TC and have replaced my air suspension with coil springs form Strutmasters.  Work GREAT and I have no more air suspension problems.  Rides just as good too.  You can't tell the difference.

SOURCE: I have a 2001 Lincoln Towncar. The air bag light comes on

1st when the airbag light is on the system is disabled, so if u have an accident they will not work, as to the common cause read below.
When the airbag light is on it means a fault has occurred in the system and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is called th clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact that turns with the wheel

This happened in a 93 lincoln towncar that I bought. (basically the same car, 4.6 liter engine) Ended up being the "idle air control valve" which was a recalled item and was free. Plus a few rotted vacuum lines that cost about 5 bucks. I think I paid about 100 in labor.
