I have two keys and only one of them works the other one use to work then it had been not used for a long time then i tryed it to see and it wount work is there any thing i can try before taking it to my dealer it is a 2005 volvo s40.....

A mechanic would check alternator output on the car with a meter.

Might be a fuel pump. The gas treatment shouldn't have anything to do with it. Was it running bad before you put the gas treatment in it? Take off the gas cap and put your ear next to the opening and see if you can hear the fuel pump kick on and off. You will need someone to urn the key to the on position while you listen. Don't try and start it, just turn the key where it would normally be when it is running. If you can't hear the fuel pump kick on and off then that is probably your problem.

Are you check battery charge? Your Jeep crank but no start, right? Ot, jiust turn the key start feww seconds and then died!

Could be some problem with starter and battery charge or theft system. Check that Theft Security System closely, it may not be allowing power from the ignition switch to the starter/solenoid. If power is there when cranking, you may want to replace the battery cables completely instead of the ends that you already did.

The first thing we need to do is Check for Fault Codes. Cycle the key from off to on three times ending with it on and watch the check engine light. After the last time you turn the key on it will come on and go out. After a pause it will come back and start flashing. It will flash up to 9 times and then pause. Count the flashes between the pauses - this is a code digit. Write down all the digits in order and post them here.

Dont work yet? Wiil need to check this specific section from the Grand Cherokee Repair Manual, there is the wiring for your security system. You can try to pull the fuse to disable the alarm system, but it may not work. Some are wired when they do not have power or then are not powered up it will disable the starting of the vehicle.

maybe you have bad gas .

CHECK ALL OF YOUR FUSES, EVEN INLINE FUSES. CHECK AND CLEAN THE BATTERY CONNECTIONS. SEE IF THAT WORKS.

ur key tumbler is going bad u need to replace it soon as poss because it sucks being some where when ur key wount turn car on i would replace soon as i can

try a jump start first and see if this works if it does charge or replace the battery if need be if this does not work hit the starter with a hammer the starter is located under the car at the front of the motor rite behind the radiator then try to start the car. if this works or starts to work you need a starter

When this happens with my 93 Maxima, I have to get out of the car, go to the passenger side door and use the key to unlock the door. I know it sounds weird, but it starts after that. I believe it happens when I pull on the handle before unlocking the door. I bought the car used and the owner told me of the problem. Works great in the snow and ice to get around though.

see as far concern as matter of fact most of the vehicle boot come's with either electrical or mechanical system operated so see for that if it is motor operated then if motor is jam then it wount open easily see for the key lock system if that too is jam it wount open up in this case take your car to the nearest authorised VW, SKODA, AUDI ..etc  dealer or service centre that will help out your car problem till then my friend have happy motoring see you soon
