FUEL PUMP RELAY TURN ON AND OFF THE FUEL PUMP.WHEN YOU FIRST CRANK YOUR ENGINE PCM ENERGIZE FUEL PUMP RELAY TURN ON FUEL PUMP.IF ENGINE DONT GET NO CKP SENSOR SIGNAL OR CMP SENSOR FUEL PUMP WILL SHUT OFF.THATS WHY WHEN YOU TURN OFF ENGINE.PCM WILL TURN OFF FUEL PUMP RELAY,NOT GETTING FIRING SIGNAL FROM CKP AND CMP THIS TELL PCM ENGINE SHUT OFF RELAY. LIKE WHEN YOU TURN ON THE IGNITION TO THE ON POSITION ENGINE OFF, FUEL PUMP WILL TURN ON FOR3 SECONDS THEN TURN OFF NOT GETTING NO CKP SIGNAL OR CMP SIGNAL PCM TURN OFF FUEL PUMP RELAY IN WHICH TURNS OFFFUEL PUMP .

Dodge does not use a fuel pump cutoff switch, that is Ford and Mazda, and that is is on triggered on impact that exceeds 3 G's. You have what is called and ASD fuel pump shut off relay, it is also triggered in a crash. The ASD is locate in the underhood fuse and relay center. Refer to the owner's manual for location.

2000 Acura CL 3.2 no power to fuel pump
Your emergency fuel pump cutoff may have tripped. If so you will need to find and reset it. Also maybe a blown fuse or bad fuel pump relay. The relay is most likely in the engine compartment inside some sort of black box easily accessible. Both the fuse and cutoff switch is most likely under the dash.

My 01 mercury grand marguis will not start, it does not get power to the emergency fuel cut off switch or the full pump what should i check , it will start with ether.
Start with the fuel pump relay. Its in a black plastic cover above the left front wheel. There are 3 relays in a row. ECM, fuel and ac cutoff, they are all the same, swap the fuel with the cutoff and see if it starts. These relays go out often.

There is no fuel cutoff like fords. You test for voltage at the fuel pump. If you have it then the pump is bad
