Loosen one fuel line to one of the injectors, try to start the truck and look for the fuel to spray out of the line. it should spray rather hard if the injector pump is working right. if it just dribbles or trickles out you have a weak pump.

the cause of your problem would be dirty injectors,and or dirty fuel filters on truck. check the filters and replace the fuel filters. also check your air filter . if it's dirty replace it as well. hope this will help!!!

You said you have fuel flowing from the inlet line of the injection pump? But not at the injector lines?

99 ram diesel wont start

Did you check to see if there is power to the glow plugs if not then that may be the problem and if there is power when you cycle the key not to start but for the plugs to warm up you may have a bad glow plugs.

there is a technical service bulletin to relocate the fuel pump on this vehicle when the transfer pump needs replaced. there is the possibility the transfer pump is going bad on the 2003 now...its not good to run them low or out of fuel

Priming fuel

You prime it at the lifter pump on the drivers side the primer is a black rubber push button type. you shouldn't have to crack any injector lines if you do you can risk damaging the lines or their ability to seal. good luck
