Had the same problem with my '03 330xi. Navigation worked fine but radio and CD did not work at all. I opened the fuse box located in the glove compartment to check the three fuses associated with the navigation system and radio. #7, #39, and #41. All three fuses were intact so I put them back in. I then put the key into the ignition, turned it to position 2 and miraculously the radio came to life. I guess it acted as some type of reset?

I just had a new battery put in my Bmw 2003 325Ci. How do I reset the radio? I have the original radiopass serial number card.

I am puzzled. I would have thought that your car is too new to have a radio theft protection code, and too old to have a bluetooth code.
Assuming I am wrong and you do need a theft code, you turn on the radio and the display says "CODE". You punch in the numeric code using the numbered buttons on the radio.
If you try three times and don't get the code right, you have to leave the radio turned on for an hour while the car is running before it will give you another chance.

Crackling in driver door speaker, radio cutting on and off, navigation system pauses and resets at the same time. Voice activated system not working.

Usually, this problem shows when the module is bad radio. 7.series E65/66 It is full of electronics and fiber optic cables that do suggest the diagnosis

MBZ E320 CDI (2003), The CD, Radio and navigation system not working. The car battery became flat after having my car parked for 35 days, so I jump started the car and it started fine. But the CD, radio...

Your radio/nav system needs a code. Go the your dealer's parts department , give them the VIN of your car( should be free $0). Punch in the code through the car radio and your radio/nav system should work right away.

Radio wont work but navigation and tv working

Dude, i had the same problem. I tightened up the relay from the positive terminal on the battery that sits right next to the terminal, i took off the negative and put it back on, and unplugged the wires that go from amp to speakers and plugged them back in. started working fine. It would be your best bet to reset the comp by taking off neg. and putting back on.

Mk4 head unit not working

Hello There.

Thats an interesting one. My first suggestion would be to look at the DVD navigation unit in the trunk, does it have any sign of life, i.e will it eject the map dvd is there a blinking redlight etc, if there is nothing then thats most likely your problem if there life in it then I would suggest having a closer look at all the connections in the trunk. You need to remove the side cover in the trunk and check the connections.
If the above doesn't help, my guess would be your head unit has the fault.
The cheapest way to get this repaired is by process of elimination. If you think the DVD unit in the trunk is faulty I would buy one from ebay if you find this doesn't solve your problem you can always resell it on ebay without losing money and the same with your head unit.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Many Thanks.
