It is not the cap that you need it will be the fuel pressure regulator and also called the fuel damper for the fuel pressure.....behind the plastic cap is a screw that is set at the factory to regulate the pressure for the fuel at the injecter rail and this screw will back out and will start leaking......you will need to go to the dealer and show them which one you need cause there are 2 of them and they can show you a picture or the fuel system and you can pick out the one that is leaking.....i hope that this info will help you and if you need any other info let me know.........let me and fixya know if i was able to help you in any way and a thumbs up and a comment on how i did would be appreciated.....good luck and have a blessed day........thanks.....

Where is fuel regulator located on 2001 Lexus ES300

Hi. The Fuel Pressure Regulator is located on top of the motor at the end of the fuel rail. Follow the "Fuel Pressure Relieve" procedure before removing. I'm including a couple photos to help identify it.

I just replaced the head gaskets on my 2002 Lexus es300. And it won't start back up. It's getting fuel and it has spark

Well, an engine needs 3 things to run....fuel, spark, and compression. But they also have to happen in the right time in the right amounts. If you are sure that you have fuel getting into the engine, and you are sure that you have spark at the plugs. I think I would be checking the timing and the compression. And remember, just because you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail doesn't nesissarily mean that the injectors are opening.

Jingling sound from front of engine

Don't worry about the sound, Find the gas leak. Fuel lines come in on the drivers side. Then you have the injectors. on the fuel rail. on the fuel rail there is a pressure regulator. All this needs checked. Fuel lines on the engine are metal. BUT coming up to the metal lines, they are plastic. LOOK for wet spots.. FIX them. The regulator is on the fuel rail/ with the injectors. LOOK for wet spot at these locations also... There are also other locations under the car to find gas leaks....Fix this first...

Location of fuel filter on a 92 es300 lexus

  • Remove the gas cap to relieve a little pressure first. The fuel filter is under the hood by the driver's side front "shock tower". There are 3 bolts that hold the filter in place and a wrench is needed to remove the two bolts on either end of the fuel filter from the line. You have to remove the air filter hose to grant maximum access. It is a little bit of a pain but very doable at home.

Gas line leaking by engine how do repair that?

Where is it leaking? If its at the fuel rail fuel pressure regulator you may need a new regulator if leaking on the metal part. If its leaking at the rail side its just the "O" ring. Relieve fuel pressure(push in valve under plastic cap right side beside alternator on rail. Remove the torx screw holding regulator bracket. Pry out and replace "O" ring, reassemble. If its not the regulator it may be a fuel injector, you need to remove the fuel rail and replace both the upper and lower injector "O" rings. This however needs the intake manifold removed to repair.

2002 yukon hard to start, where is the fuel filter and how to replace it.

FIRST RELIEF FUEL PRESSURE BY REMOVING GAS CAP REMOVE FUEL PUMP RELAY START ENGINE UNTIL IT DIES LACK OF FUEL. FUEL FILTER IS MOUNTED TO THE RIGHT FRAME RAIL.NEAR THE FUEL TANK.YOU NEED A FLARE NUT WRENCH TO LOOSEN FUEL LINE AT FILTER AND A ADJUSTABLE WRENCH HOLD FILTER LARGE NUT WHILE LOOSEN FUEL LINE THIS KEEP FROM TWISTING FUEL LINES WHILE LOOSEN FUEL LINE.BESURE TO GO TO DEALERSHIP AND BUY NEW O - RINGS AT FUEL FILTER LINES.LUBRICATE NEW O- RINGS WITH CLEAN ENGINE OIL.WHEN INSTALLING NEW FUEL FILTER DONT OVER TIGHTEN FUEL LINES CUTTINGTHE O -RINGS AT FUEL FILTER.IF SO THEY WILL LEAK GAS WHEN YOU START UP ENGINE.WHEN DONE CHECK FOR GAS LEAKS WHEN DONE DONT DRIVE UNTIL YOU CHECK FOR LEAKS FIRST.
