You need to change the outside air temperature sensor. A good diagnostic machine should be able to give the reading to make sure. The sensor is normally located in the drivers side door mirror or behind the front bumper.
Poss defective outside temperature sensor, it is a small sensors that is located in front of the radiator and AC condenser core behind the front bumper.
the sensor is located in front of radiator if you open hood and look down behind front bumper you should see it, or look from under the frt bumper, it easy to change, also get part from dealer it not $$,hope this helps.
It should be attached to the front of the lower radiator support behind the front fascia. Look for the two wire pigtail harness hanging loose if the sensor is missing or you can't find it.
The outside temperature sensor will almost always be in the very front of the car. Before anything else. If it were behind anything, the readings would be skewed by the heat of the car. Check behind the front bumper... look behind the grille and behind the air dam. Good luck.
sounds like a faulty outside temp sensor. This is located behind the lower front grill on the rad support. This sensor is likely causing your both issues as the voltage drop or resistance is not in the range the ecu expects. You can check http://forums.fourtitude.com/zeromain they will help to clairfy swapping the sesnor if you feel like getting your hands dirty.
