I have a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer and we just changed the fuel pressure regulators and that was not the problem. it runs fine for about 2 or 3 minutes and then it starts to sputter and then it dies. when we changed the fuel pressure regulators it ran fine for a day and then it died again. i have been told it could be a fuel pump but i"m not sure.

Why my 1999 Chevy Blazer 4.3, engine starts, runs about 5 second, dies and then won't start, if you wait 10 minutes it starts and runs fine, this happens once every few weeks/months or twice in one da

You may be having an intermittent failure with the fuel pressure regulator - checking the fuel pressure when the truck won't start may pinpoint this problem. If the pressure looks OK, this same problem can be caused by the ignition system as well (ignition coil or control module).

Abs light on everytime i stop it dies what would cause that on a 95 blazer

The abs light problem is more than likely a faulty speed sensor as for engine cutting off sounds like a low fuel pressure problem.Check the fuel pressure it should be 60-66 psi with the key on engine off. Also check the fuel pressure regulator for proper operation these regulators are known for causing this problem.

89 chevy blazer runs way to rich

Sounds like your fuel pressure regulator might be bad.Start engine for 2 minutes then turn it off then pull the vacuum hose off the map sensor and look for raw fuel in it.Also look in the air cleaner box for raw fuel and if you see any in either then replace the fuel regulator.

My 95 blazer has a hard time stating i can hear the fuel pump.when it gets started it runs fine. do you think its my fuel pump or something else?

REPLACE FUEL FILTER,CHECK FUEL PRESSURE, SHOULD BE SHOULD BE 9 - 13 PSI TBI FUEL INJECTION AND 55 - 61 PSI MFI FUEL INJECTION.WHEN YOU TURN ON IGNITION WITH ENGINE OFF.LET FUEL PRESSURE BUILD UP AT FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE TO CORRECT PRESSURE THEN TURN OFF IGNITION SWITCH. IF FUEL PRESSURE DROPS VERY FAST OR LEAK DOWN IN 10 MINUTES.YOUR FUEL PUMP CHECK VALVE FAULTY IS BAD.FUEL PUMP NEED REPLACING.BE SURE FUEL INJECTORS ARE CLEAN THEY WILL LEAK DOWN FLOOD ENGINE FOUL OUT SPARK PLUGS.

95 S10 blazer 4.3 vortec skipping code po172 and po300 possible solutions

P0172 system too rich bank 1. P0300 random multiple misfire. All are a common symptom of either bad fuel pressure regulator or leaking injector. Need to pull off intake plenum (upper) You should visibly see a clean side or part of intake manifold (lack of carbon buildup) Reconnect fuel lines. Energize fuel pump (turn on key to run) Most likely you will see fuel dripping out of rear (fuel pressure regulator) or nylon lines to each cylinder (fuel injectors). Once you see which is leaking will need to replace. Once they are repaired will need to clean or replace spark plugs & change oil & filter.

Blazer rumbling,choking,missing in engine

Check the fuel pressure regulator. generally "failure" position is full open which will richen up the fuel mixture. also check vacuum line to the regulator for cracks and good connection.

Hard starting, excessive crank time

try changing the fuel filter and turn the key on and off several times before starting engine. once running check the vaccum line on the fuel pressure regulator.the regulator can leak fuel from that connection.
