Hi..
Your 00 taurus 24v,
Use a Direct ignition, It's mean COIL on PLUG.
Each cylinder use one coil.
The firing order is ; 1-2-3-4-5-6..
The cylinder 1-2-3 are located at the FIREWALL side, starting from the Belt Side..
4-5-6 are Located at the Radiator side, starting from the belt .

My 2000 ford taurus( 24valve DOHC) is giving me an errorcode of "lack of H02S1 - swotches lean ; bank 2 sensor 1. does anyone know what it means and what i need to replace?
probly need a new oxygen sensor--u may want to get all new depending on ur $$--they are on the mufflers by the engine

I have a 1998 Fotd Taurus 3.0 liter V6 and I need to know if it has over head valves or over head cams
Take off the oil fill cap and look in, if you see a chain it is (DOHC) Double Overhead Cam. If you don't see a chain and see a rocker, it is (OHV) Over Head Valve. Hope this helps. Cobra.. :-)
