Hi, you can locate the air filter by facing the vehicle head-on, the filter housing will be located in the far left side of the engine compartment. It looks like a big rectangular box with one corner missing and a big hose leading out of it.
You have to remove the cover from the air filter housing to have access to the air filter.

there is no firing diagram on an 06 aveo this has electronic ignition which is controlled by the computer. if your car is running bad take it to a certified tech or to your local dealership and have it looked at.

Why are the gears not engaging chev aveo 2006,manual transmission?
A true manual transmission is exactly that and has no connection to the dash board instruments, other than the speed sensor, which doesn't control the gearbox, but supplies the engine's ECU and dashboard with the relevant vehicle speed information. I can't think of any related reason as to why you should have a related instrument issue and gearbox issue. I would recommend the obvious which is to take the vehicle to an experienced mechanic/technician.

Where is the air bag censor module located on a chev aveo 2005
Usually there is 2 places to put that sensor module , first and most common is in the center console right under the radio console or under the armrest in center console, the second place is right un der the floor mat under the passenger seat .
