My 95 blazer has a hard time stating i can hear the fuel pump.when it gets started it runs fine. do you think its my fuel pump or something else?

does pump run a couple seconds KOEO (key on engine off)? - put a light on pump + wire (pink?), I think these have a "back-up fuel pump power" through oil pressure switch?

Check the fuel pump relay its inside the glove box the one on the left side of 3 relays . The fuel pump will still work on this vehicle ever if the relay is bad . The system is backed up by the oil pressure sending uint and that will supply power to the pump it just takes it some time for the engine to build up enogh oil pressure to trip the switch so it takes a long time to start and you may think of replaceing the unit as well that could be intermitant also check your fuel filter its under the drivers side door mounted to the frame

only half way there if you have a tbi check the crank sensor/ cam sensor that is the first line of business on that truck if the crankshaft sensor fails the truck stops dead when you wait a few minutes the sensor re energizes and the truck will work again for a bit antiknock can cause similer problems but not while the truck is running

dirty fuel filter or faulty pump....just a guess...

The fuel pump may be running but it may not be providing enough fuel pressure. Have the fuel pressure checked at the fuel rail and if it is not to specification, replace the fuel pump.

put on a fuel filter that is cheap and it wont hurt a thing

It could still be the fuel pump, when it gets warmed up it may not put out or maintain the correct pressure because its geating weak even if you can hear it running, just a few #'s under the recamended pressure and it won't run, but when it cools down it works again, but sooner or later it will go out altogether. Has the fuel filter been chg.? that could do it to and is something that is often overlooked. It would be best that the next time it quits running that would be the time to do a fuel pressure test that way you would know if its a pump problem or something else, Its a easy and cheap test to perform, and at the very least you can elimanate that as the problem.

Check the Fuel pump with a presure guage.

ok fair enough..... do you know if it is getting a spark ?
