SOURCE: transfer case oil change- 1999 Land Rover Discovery II

No need for a diagram, to drain the oil, there's a drain plug on the bottom of the transfer box, under the handbrake drum. To fill, the fill plug is about in line with the centre of the handbrake drum and to the left. I think both plugs are 1/2" square. Fill to overflow with Texaco Multi-Gear 75W/90R. Takes about 2L or so.

Good day, I own a Discovery 2002 Series II, TD5, GS. Question: Drive belt part number PQS101500 is smaller than PQS101510, Landrover supplied me the latter, which was too big! The former was correct. What...

Some Series II Discoveries has the ACE(Active Cornering Enhancement) option which had an additional hydraulic belt drivem pump, these cars require a larger belt. It is likely that they sold you a belt for a car with ACE

Ace light stays on amber and since this come on the alarm is going off any tell me why the light is on and why the alarm is going off it is a discovery 2003

The amber light indicates that the ACE ECU has found a fault with the ACE system, you need to take it to a dealer to get the fault codes read. Could be anything from low fluid to a faulty pressure sensor.

Default code P1451 Land Rover Discovery II

The code P1451 on a Land Rover is "Leakage Detection Module Motor power stage error Drive cycle A:Signal out of range - above maximum". This is an OBD-II diagnostic system code. As far as I know, a 1995 Land Rover Discovery does not use a OBD-II system. Is it possible that this rover is a later model year

Which serpentine belt do I need for my 2001 Land Rover Discovery II se7 ??? Pep Boy is offering me 2 differnet kind/types.

I have responded to this problem in the past. 2001 discos had an ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement) option. ACE vehicles had an additional hydraulic pump for the system therefore ACE vs Non_ACE cars require different belts.

I'm trying to replace a belt on a 1999 Landrover Discovery. The part store diagram only has 8 pulleys, but the truck actually has 9.

The 1999 had an optional ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement) suspension option. ACE cars have a separate hydraulic pump. If your car is equipped with ACE it might explain the other pulley.
