It should be on the passenger's side firewall. Google images map sensor 1990 Lincoln. It has one vacuum line and a three prong plug. Comes off with a 7mm socket. Please leave a comment and rate my assistance.
Testimonial: "Thanks! I thought I would never find it. I know what it looks like, so it should not be too difficult to spot unless it's hidden. Thanks!"
I was wrong: I looked and looked and I still can't find it. It's one of those hard-to-get-to and impossible-to-find sensors. Thanks Lincoln.....I know WHAT it looks like but I see nothing resembling that...only something close with an electrical connector but no vacuum line. Hmmmmm...
Okay I checked the Auto Zone Component Locator and this is what it said: Under hood, passenger side, upper firewall, mounted near relay block . However I have a friend with one of these and will try to check his tomorrow and get back to you.
Which brings to mind...what do snakes say when they find a MAP sensor...If it's been a human it would have stuffed me in a bag? Glad I could help.

I found it. If it had been a snake, it would have bitten me! I don't understand why there are so many different variations...a 1990 Lincoln TC is a TC....or at least one would think. I'm at wit's end: I just ordered a diagnostic scanner. No matter what I try, I still have the rough idle. I'm tired of testing various sensors the old-fashioned way with an amp/volt meter. I'll run the scanner and see what it tells me. I may need some new sensors. Then again, I may need a new Engine Control Module. Thanks for answering.
I was looking much too far down the firewall. It's just under the hood/bonnet, mounted on the UNDERSIDE of a bracket upside-down, right where you said. Thanks!
