Did you get the wires all back in place? What voltage do you have at the output of the alternator? Measure the voltage with the engine running and not running.

2004 ford expedition charging system failed?

Sounds like battery not holding charge. Or a light staying on, boot or glovebox? Most likely battery tho.

My 1998 Ford Expeditons battery light stays on. What could be the causes?

probably alternator. Voltage should be 14 volts with the engine running and 12 volts off. If not 14, it's not charging.
But clean battery cables at the posts first and check any small wires connected to the positive cable.

1998 Ford Expedition won't start. Clicking sound when key is turned. Replaced solenoid twice, did not solve the problem

have you checked the battery and alternator to make sure the battery is charged? and the alternator is charging? the clicking usually comes from a dead battery not being able to turn over the motor.

2000 Ford Expedition. My battery light came on and a rattling noise came from the engine. The alternator was replaced but the battery light is still on. What do I do.

If garage replaced alternator, return vehicle for warranty work.

If you replaced alternator, what was wrong woth old unit??

Provided regulator is internal with alterantor, fault is with alternator.

If an external regulator is used then its faulty.

What voltage reading are you getting at idle / 1500rpm??

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition. The battery was

Hi:
The battery light is telling you that you are running off the battery, and you have a problem with your charging system. An easy way to check your alternator is to get a volt meter, and measure the voltage of your fully charged battery. with your expedition not running, it should read about 12.6 volts. When you start your expedition, it should read approx 14 volts if your alternator is working properly.
Of course, check all of your connections first, and most auto parts stores will check your alternator out for free, so they might have a chance to sell you one!

The alernator does not appear to be charging the battery, the car has not been used for three weeks, battery has been charged but battery light stays on,can this problem be fixed easily?

It sound's like the battery need's to be replaced, the alternator can't be checked without the car started, to check the alternator measure the voltage across the battery, it should read higher than the battery voltage. if the voltage on the battery stay's at 12 volt's with the car started the alternator is bad.

Ford Expedition Battery and system charge warning

If he replaced the battery that would have cleared the code. There is another issue. Was the alternator aftermarket? Just becuase it is new does not mean good. Those are easy to install I would return it to where you got it and try another.
