P1300 is random misfiring. I suggest replacing your DI cassette with a known good unit or a replacement unit. Give more info on your vehicle. Any symptoms or running rough?

    I'm looking into buying an '01 Saab 9-3 and the current owner says that he occasionally gets the P1300 check engine light on. Should this be a big concern for me, maybe something that would prevent me from buying this car? The other issue he said was that the timing chain might need to be replaced within the next 50k miles, and the turbo has a slight oil leak. I like the car and would like to buy it, just not sure if this upkeep is worth it. Thanks

It appears to be a known issue.
Blue smoke is oil.
White smoke is water.
Black smoke is rich mixture.

Blue smoke is probably from the turbo bearings.

P0171 : System Too Lean (Bank 1), P0300 : Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected, P0340 : Camshaft Position Sensor A - Bank1 Circuit Malfunction. I don't know what P1300 is.

Here is what I could find on it:

P1300 Random Misfire Detected. Catalyst Damaging.

Chances are that the Saab Ignition cassette is failing. You can find them on ebay, I recommend a new one since it is a common failure. Best to put new plugs in it while you are at it.

Easy to change, you just need a T-30 Torx (4 small bolts)
and one electrical connector on top of the engine. Oh and a good spark plug wrench.

2004 saab 9-3 turbo won't accelerate
i am the owner of a 2004 saab 9-3 that had the same problem. the car could barely make it up a slight incline.

after diagnostics, they determined that it was a faulty "pedal travel sensor" (engine code P1238), which cost $590. after labor and taxes, my total came to $747.53. yikes.

sucked to pay that much, but it fixed the problem.

My 1999 saab 95 has been dying while driving the past 2 days. i can pull the P1300, P1549, P0300 codes with a obdii reader. where do i start with fixing this problem
p1300 and p0300 Inspect the wiring, DI cassette, and the spark plugs are clean and making good contact. p1549 Check the charge air system and the air flow through the Turbo boost pressure control valve. These are relative the code you received.

Is this the 2.2 diesel ? phone your vauxhall main dealer. its the same turbo. They do an exchange unit for roughly 268 plus vat.
